Good morning everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Miss Lindsey Kain. We're in need of some new portraits to be placed in the Entrance Hall.
This week's theme is Magical Portrait
Your challenge this week is to create a human avatar depicting a famous witch or wizard as they would appear in an enchanted portrait. The portrait can show a specific part of the witch or wizard's life. You can choose to make a portrait of a known witch or wizard from the Harry Potter world or make a character up.
Some rules for this challenge: 1.) No Hogwarts robes! 2.) Please post the name of the witch or wizard in the portrait. 3.) Bonus points may be awarded to particularly creative entries!
Each member may only submit one avatar, and each avatar to successfully adhere to the challenge rules and theme shall be awarded 10 House Points!
This challenge will end Sunday, January 22nd at 11:59PM.
Outfit Not Found The famous person is Sonia Ravendon, she saved an entire town using the dragons she has trained to help her from another rampaging dragon that had decided the village was going to be its new home. She saved the dragon and the town and should be forever remembered.

//portrait scuttles into the deep deep dungeons.
Private Outfit Harry James Potter, the child of prophecy that vanished the evil Dark Lord from the world who also happens to be a fantastic seeker.
Merlin Pendragon, Slytherin
Outfit Not Found This portrait takes place several months into Leon Hart's research of faeries in South America. He was a quirky explorer, who devoted his life's work to this specific group of Amazonian faeries, living with them for over half of his human life. And while he did not discover anything of particular use to wizardly scholars, his name still goes down in history as the one person in the world who has managed to live with faeries for more than 5 years...and not go insane (although, that is still up for debate).
Sauvage / HufflepuffOutfit Not Found Hermione Jean Granger, during her time as a Hogwarts student. Looped around her wrist is her magical beaded bag and at her feet is her loyal cat Crookshanks. She is frequently referred to as the brightest witch of her age.
The Golden Trio, and arguably wizardkind, would have been lost without her. Granger was a Muggle-born, logical thinker, and champion of the oppressed (House-elves in particular). She serves as a reminder to those at Hogwarts that every great witch or wizard begins as a mere student, and that books and learning should be lifelong companions.
Poppy, Slytherin

Elladora Ketteridge, the first witch to discover the properties of Gillyweed.
Becca, Gryffindor

Millie's idol, Nymphadora Tonks. She went by either Dora or Tonks, but never Nymphadora. She was a loving wife and mother and a brave auror who gave her life protecting the students during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Amelia Tudor, Huffleouff

Tilly Toke, O.M (First Class), (1903-1991), was a witch who saved the lives of several Muggles during the Ilfracombe Incident in 1932.
Biography Holidaying in Ilfracombe Tilly had been holidaying with her family in Ilfracombe, in Devon in 1932. One day, a rogue Common Welsh Green dragon swooped down upon the beach, full of sunbathing Muggles. Along with her family, Tilly fended off the attack, thus preventing any fatalities. The family then proceeded to perform "the largest batch of Memory Charms this century" on the inhabitants of Ilfracombe. The Toke family were all awarded Order of Merlin, First Class, for their heroic action in Ilfracombe.
Postmortem In 1993, a Portrait of Tilly was hung at the first-floor corridor of Hogwarts Castle, protecting a secret area. A password was needed to access it. The password to said portrait was Dirigible.
***all information was obtained from here.
***FUN FACT: I have played through the HP video games where you can find the collectible Famous Wizard Card of Tilly Toke and can read her biography/view her picture yourself! :D

ON THE CURRENT HUNT FOR --

This portrait is of the great alchemist Nicholas Flamel. He was the only known maker of the Philospher's Stone, which could transform any metal into gold, and from which the Elixir of Life was created, thus granting immortality.

Bonawentura Wójcik the Seeker for Polish National Quidditch Team
In anticipation for the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, accusations emerged that Wójcik was actually the famous Italian Seeker Luciano Volpi Transfigured. This was only disproven when both attended a press conference together.
Man, Hufflepuff
haha I combined three I always wondered why they didn't give Harry the hair he was supposed to have. lol
[edit] Just looked through all the entries, I love your Hermoine, now we need Ron. =D
I got bored so I decided to make another (not for points - just for fun!)

After being expelled from Hogwarts, Newton "Newt" Scamander joined the Ministry of Magic where he spent two years in the Office for House-Elf Relocation before joining the Beast Division. He later became a famous magizoologist and wrote the book many students are familiar with: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
(( I see that extra points may be awarded for creativity, but how much is the ha challenge worth..? I ask because it's not listed in the post :) ))

(( thanks for the info :) and hey, you usually do a great job, no worries :) ))

SPOILER (click to toggle)
I chose to feature, in this portrait, a fierce witch who is very well known in Africa, but not as well known here: Ebele Nia Zuberi. Ebele had mastered the art of casting most spells with hand gestures quite early on in her education. She defeated a powerful witch who, herself, was bent on power and revenge against those who wronged her, which included the non-magical parents of many wizards ad witches. After defeating this powerful witch, Ebele continued to grow and learn from many life experiences. Her life work culminated in the creation of a refuge and school for all young wizards and witches of Africa. The need to care for homeless and under-cared for children called to her with such strength that she created the largest wizarding child care program in the world. Now her program is being shared around the globe, in the hopes that many wizard and witch youths will be saved from tormented deprived lives.
