Since there's a topic for Elder Scrolls pets, how about some love for another Bethesda series? ^-^ Let's hear allllll about your Fallout pets! <3 If you must include game spoilers, please mark them clearly! ;)
I still need to work on profiles, but here are mine so far, starting with the in-game couple:
Natalia Goodman My main Sole Survivor from Fallout 4. She's a Minutemen gal. Always looks out for those in need. Has a soft spot for Ghouls, to the point where she'll avoid killing even Ferals, if possible. Adores Hancock.
Mayor John Hancock. Ahhh... Only variation of this guy's that wasn't already taken. Ghoul Mayor of Goodneighbor. Best companion.
And now for some FO4 OCs. These guys aren't in the game (obviously) and I'm still straightening out some backstory details, but here's a very rough idea of what I have so far:
M4-27 Probably screwing up some Fallout lore with this guy... Anyway, M4 is a Synth, obviously, buuuut he looks like a Ghoul (told you I'm probably screwing up some lore). Has a messy and regrettable past involving a Ghoul-friendly settlement, an escaped Synth, and a guy from the Railroad. Spent some time in the wasteland before being bought back to the Institute by scientists who wanted to take advantage of his appearance to keep tabs on Natalia (their plan failed). Prefers to go by the name Alex. HATES snack cakes.
Regarding Synth "Ghouls" - Minor Spoilers
They can actually appear in the game. Ghouls who appear in your settlements can turn out to be Synths, just as seemingly human settlers can. But most people believe it's an oversight by Bethesda (well, it does happen with Brahmin too...), and that the Institute can't/won't make Synth Ghouls. So I'm having a little fun with M4 and creating a "What if...?" scenario.
Alexander Harker Institute scientist who works in Advanced Systems (weapons development). Born in the Wasteland, but was sought out by the Institute when they learned of his skills and keen interest in working with weapons. Dislikes having his name shortened. Formed a controversial friendship with M4-27 (who would later name himself after the scientist to hide his identity when returning to the wasteland).
One-Eighty Railroad member and former resident of Vault 81. Gets his nickname from his vault dweller past, and for having a habit of changing his mind about things very quickly. Left the vault for good after learning about the Railroad during a trading run, and deciding he wanted to help runaway Synths. Unaware of M4-27's true identity and believing he could be trusted, One-Eighty turned to the "Ghoul" when he became desperate for help moving an escaped Synth. Since the incident, he has held a grudge against M4, not realising that the Synth ultimately betrayed the Institute and helped the runaway.
Katerine Adding her in since I just created her as a pet. She's the Synth One-Eighty was trying to help. I don't have many other details for her right now.
Well, that's mine so far. Now I wanna see YOURS. Do you have pets based on your player character(s)? Characters from the games? Fallout inspired OCs? Shaaaare! :D
I'm working on Jaeden. He was a combat medic, who was honorably discharged after being wounded in action. After waking up in vault 111, he joined with the brotherhood of steel because he needed something familiar to cling to - the structure and routine of being in the military. He stayed with them, never questioning anything until he was ordered to kill Danse for being a synth. Which, fucked him up pretty good since Danse was the only person he trusted. ...Now both he and Danse work for the Railroad. ...And Maxson and the brotherhood can go right ahead and rot in the deepest pits of hell.
Neat. :D Sounds a little bit like one of my other characters (not a pet here, and probably won't make him one). Except my guy is a stupid Maxson fanboy or something, and went right back to not questioning the Brotherhood after the whole thing with Danse. ^^;
I love seeing what people do with their characters in these games, and it's cool to see how players here make pets inspired by them. ^-^
