You were a crappy year and we won't miss you. We've got a lot of work in 2017 cleaning up the mess you left behind.

I'm glad it's over and I really hope that 2017 will be better again, we need some rest.

Thank god it's gone. Here in Berlin, everyone was setting off fireworks in the streets at midnight, and it felt like we were all blowing up the last remains of that awful year.

I keep thinking "Yay! New year!" But at the same time, Trump's going to be sworn in as president here in the US in a couple weeks and it makes my stomach flip.

I have this feeling 2017 has the potential to become a better year for the world, but won't. It seems like so many people think 2016 was just some evil entity transformed into a year, but really it was the escalation of so many years of unrest and turmoil. I hope together people can fight and work to make each year better than this one, and not just right off 2016 as a bad year for the wrong reasons. :c
