Dylan sighed and ran a hand through his hair before knocking on the glass door. He was standing in the pouring rain at 3 am in the morning on the balcony of the heart he broke days ago. He was her to win back the heart and apologize.
Never good with conflict, the boy ran off and partied all night before sleeping with a random chick. Not knowing what went on the night before, the teenage boy only realized his mistake when he akwakened in the girls bed the next morning. After a hour of piecing together what happened, the boy rushed to tell his other everything; apologizing and begging for forgivness.
Now here he was again, ready to gravel for mercy. The wind picked up and the storm grew worst. His knocking became more rapid. "Babe, come on," he said to the dark glass. "Hear me out, please," his voice was weak.

Lilith hadnt slept at all that night. her heart feeling like it was scattered across the floor in hundreds of pieces. She was growing tired of this routine. Once again she could hear him banging on her door, ready to beg her to stay, beg her to listen to his stupid excuses again. Lilith sighed a bit. It was 3 in the morning and she didnt want to listen anymore.
She huffed a little, shifting the blanket off her lap and onto the couch coushin beside her before getting up off the couch. Lilith walked over to the door and opened it a crack, just enough to look out at the now drenched Dylan standing on the porch.
"Why should I hear you out this time?" She asked, making no move to open the door for him to come inside. Lilith wasnt sure she even wanted to be standing there infront of him at the moment after all the crap she had to deal with already.

Dylan saw a shadow move across the window and his heart beat picked up. He held his breath as the door opened just enough to reveal Lilith. Her question knocked him back a little.
"Because this time will be the last if you wish me to go," He whispered. "I have a proposal, not the marriage kind, but a proposal," he had a hard time speaking with the shuddering he tried to fight off. "I know I messed up, again... But just hear me out," he had rehearsed this for days but seeing her face just whipped his memory and now he was winging it as best he could.
"Lilith, please. Just one last time," He said looking into her eyes pleadingly. Knowing he should not play on emotions, he bit back at the urge to tell her he missed her, that he loved her, that he promise to never do it again. He did not want a pity chance, he did not want to play her anymore. He knew he loved her and that he needs to fix himself and better himself for her.
Lilith felt bad for making him stay out in the rain but she refused to let it go further "I can't keep doing this, Dylan." She told him softly, her tone lower than the anger that raged inside her. "Give me a good reason to deal with you again." Lilith bit back the bitter toen she wanted to use but a slight hint of it still slipped out with her words.
"This is the fourth time you've done this, is there even a good reason to let you come back?" She asked crossing her arms and shifting her bare feet from the chilly breeze coming through the cracked door way. "I can't keep letting you do this to me."
Lilith sighed looking away from him. She was fighting back tears once more that she had calmed just an hour ago. this was hard for her to do. She wanted to jsut throw the door open and hug him but had grown cold from the constant heart break. Lilith still loved him but was it going to matter?
Dylan spoke softly, "There isn't one." He knew it was the truth, this is not his first offense. "I'm not gonna lie to you," his voice was breaking a little. "I haven't change, yet," he put strength in his word yet.
"I don't want you to take me back right away," he whispered. "I want to earn your heart back," this is the first time he said these words to her. "I want to go back to the way it was in high school. Where I took you out on dates for months before I even asked you to be mine," He voice grew louder a little.
"I am getting my life together. I got a new job the other day and I registered for college. I mean I am 22, I need to get my shit together," he placed a hand on the door frame. "Please just think about it, Lilith. I am leaving my old habits behind slowly, but surely. I want to become the man you deserve," his words were the raw truth.
Lilith was about to turn away when he took her by surprise, saying that she didint have to take him back and that he was trying to change. She looked at him, a spark of hope in her eyes. Lilith wasnt sure what to say to it all and looked awy when he was closer to the door "This is your last chance then." She spoke quietly "if you don't change, this is the end"
Lilith gave the ultimatium but it wasn't a permanant one based on her voice. She looked back up at him and tried to smile a little "now go home, get yourself dry and let me know when were going out" Lilith told him before she moved to close the door. She wasnt going to hug him or kiss him if they were going to start over, go back to when they had met in highschool.
She had only been a year younger but was already in college and had her life on track. It was just Dylan that she didnt have on track. Lilith hoped that he would rise to the challenge but there was still some doubt in her mind that it was just going to be another excuse later on.
(Since I'm unsure of when I have to get off here, I may just randomly disappear so I'm going to apologize now :) If i disappear I'll respond tomorrrow probably. my fiance has new years eve plans)
Dylan held back a grin and smiled a little, "Yes ma'am." He stepped away from the door and waved a little. "Until next time," he said before turning and leaving.
He ran the whole way home, eager to get the rest of the night over. Eager to finish his work shift that day. Eager to hear from the college he applied to. Eager to set the date up with Lilith. I will not screw up this time, he thought to himself.
Once he reached his apartment, he jumped in the shower and then went to bed.
{Time skip to the next day} Finishing up his shift at work, Dylan clocked out and pulled out his phone. In his hand was his first paycheck, he already made 200 dollars with his taxes already taken out.
Hey, Lilith. Wanna go out to eat tonight? He texted her. Knowing it might be a little early to set up a date. They young man thought a simple meal would due. Once he sent the message, the walk home was fast.
Putting aside some money for bills, he left 60 dollars for the date, if it happened. The boy knew he wasn't going to get the girl right off the back; he was prepared to fight the war.
{thats okay! :3 Have fun with your sweetheart! and happy new years eve!}
Lilith shook her head a bit as she shut the door and turned off the TV. She went back up to her room and to bed finally, knowing she had class the next day.
(next day)
Lilith went to class that morning, hopeful that things would work out better with Dylan. It was hard for her to concentrate so she ended up going to the library after class to do her homework and study up a bit when she heard her phone buzzing in her bag.
She shook her head a dug it out of the bag, thankful that it was on vibrate instead of sound before checking the message from Dylan. Lilith smiled a little (I dont know how to bold for the text so these lines will do lol) -Works for me, when would you like to go? I'm at the library studying a little- She responded before setting the phone on the table and returning to her book.
(thanks, happy new years eve to you too! :3 )
(In case you wanted to know. is bold, is italic, and is underline but all without the * X3)
Dylan was laying on the couch when he heard his phone beep. Jumping up, he nearly ran to the kitchen counter. He smiled at the text, Whenever you want. Studying comes first. ;3 He always felt that way, but knowing his past, sometimes he never wanted to wait.
He pressed send before going to get changed into a black v-neck and dark blue jeans with combat boots. I could also pick you up from the library, if you want he added to the text as soon as he remembered to offer.
His grey Jeep sat in the car lot, but he preferred to walk most the time to stay in shape.
(You're welcome, and Thank you as well!)
