So now that it seems my and many others, work around of: posting a word then editing in the full post (which is longer than word count limit) has been either removed or changed, is there any other way to raise the post length in the rp forum?

I get the reason for it not being more in other areas of the site, but most rp, especially for group events, can get quite long. And having to reserve 8 posts (when you cant post back to back) is utterly killer.

Will this be changed? Or is there a new way to post longer? Im just totally at a loss of how to make this work.

The only way I can think around this, if you have your own forumgroup, the forumgroup admin can post sequentially so if you wanted to RP in a forumgroup forum, then you can make multiple posts if that helps? :)

(but if you would like to make a suggestion, you can do that in the Suggestions forum, though I'm not sure about the feasibility of it personally) :)

Hmm that isnt a bad idea. Maybe Ill suggest that to the rp leader. Its a huge group thing so Its a bit tough as I dont lead it. Hopefully they will make the post limits a bit bigger sometime, or bring back the edit and having unlimited text. Its just so bothersome trying to post even just thread starts for my guides now as well.
