I don't know why, but I always find it fun to post what I got for Christmas and what I gave everyone else. Not on Subeta, but that other place we sometimes go called 'real life'.

So, share what you got and what you gave!

I got an iPad mini from my parents and honestly didn't expect to get anything else, but we opened presents tonight and I also got a pepper-colored sweater, a black knit shawl, a waffle maker (with the batter mix lol), a silver bracelet, DKNY perfume (my favorite green apple kind), and Ghirardelli peppermint bark (SO YUM). I love everything and I'm really happy. I have the best parents in the world, frsrs.

I got my three best friends Amazon gift cards and a different shirt for each of them.

Yesterday I brought cookies in to work for my coworkers that I baked the day before - frosted sugar cookies, gingerbread men, and peanut butter blossoms.

I got my parents new wine glasses because their old ones were crappy (lol), a puzzle (because they love doing puzzles), and a mat to put puzzles on that you can roll up and put away and then get back out and the pieces will still be in the same place. Then I also got Dad a sweater, a flannel shirt, and three bottles of his favorite wine and I got Mom a blouse, an amethyst bracelet (her birthstone), a mom/daughter necklace, and a fluffy pink keychain ball thing that everyone seems to have right now.

It sounds like a lot and it sounds expensive, but I work on gifts through the year, buying only when I find good deals/have coupons. I like giving gifts more than getting. It makes me really happy to get just the right thing for someone and see them so happy to get it.

I might get a visit from my gamer friend tomorrow. Its been eight months since we last did anything. Between his job, his family and current girlfriend there has only been texting or random run-ins. If he can come over I wonder what we might do...aren't most places closed tomorrow? I'd be content watching movies and fixing up some homemade snacks.

Old, and obsolete.

Absolutely nothing. I've given a pair of leggings and a CD to my mother. I cannot afford much and we are forgotten from most of the "family". I'll grab a gift later for my little brother. Shopping for teenagers can be hard!

Dude that puzzle mat is an excellent idea I had no idea they exist. I am putting that on my wishlist. :o

Hmm, along with my coworker I stuffed my bosses stockings with treats, bath stuff, fun things. We all chipped in to get our accountant a nice scarf and a gift certificate to a sushi place she likes. Accountant gave everyone homemade cookies. I gave my coworker a David's Tea 24 days of tea calendar, and she gave me a... honestly I'm not sure what it is. Magazine rack? :x I think I might turn it into a footstool or something. My boss gave me a bottle of whiskey, a cat tape dispenser, this set of cat earrings, and my cat a mouse toy. I got my boss' mother a hummingbird broach and chocolates, haven't seen her gift yet.

On Christmas Eve we open one gift so I pulled out the new cell phones which were a gift to both mom and me. :D She was really surprised, which was awesome. And she gave me this kick ass new nightie. It's got these sleepy owls on it, and it says 'Owl you need is love'.

I'm a little nervous that I didn't 'get enough' for her, even though I know I shouldn't be. D: But tomorrow she gets a new comforter, a cool duvet cover for the comforter, a jig saw, blades for the saw, a pagan calendar, and then a stuffed stocking.

My boyfriend and I get each other big gifts because Christmas is near our anniversary. Last year I got him an electric coffee grinder. This year I got him cologne from Maison Margiela. I got my mom Clio eyeliner and Dior lipstick, my dad truffle oils and a popcorn maker, and my sister an I.O.U. to spend the day brunching and shopping in the city, on me. She's difficult to give gifts to. My coworkers got homemade cookies and my friends and relatives got handknit gifts. I knit some things for my immediate family too.

I've only opened one gift so far. It was thigh high socks and a really cozy blanket scarf that I've been wanting.

Next year I'm definitely getting all my Christmas shopping done online during Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and starting my knitting much sooner too.

My husband and I elected not to give gifts to each other this year, since we are moving in February and have plans to buy things after we get settled :3
The only gifts I gave this year were for my husband's family. I gave his mom and sister each a pair of leggings with motorcycles on them, and his dad a POW/MIA t-shirt. Sort of lame, but money is tight and we just found out today that they didn't send us anything so I'm not too concerned about it. Hashtag WHATEVERRRR
My mom gave us money, and my dad gave my husband a pair of wireless gaming headphones and he bought me a pair of Bean Boots for our move back to the States!

Money was tight this holiday season where my husband hadn't started work yet and my disability only stretches so far. We already told family and friends Christmas for them will be way after the holidays are over with. Thankfully, I found a site online where I could order things and pay a monthly premium for them. Without that, my husband wouldn't have had anything under the tree.

Anyway, I'm not completely sure on everything I received for Christmas from my husband. I know he got me a Sorry! board game, because I was with him when it was purchased. And he purchased me a Pittsburgh Steelers hoodie.

I bought him Battlefield 1 and Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One, a Green Bay Packers hoodie and a jacket.

My husband found and bought a bunch of stuff for our daughter already, even though she's not here yet. He got a changing table, a bassinet, a seat that vibrates and bounces, an infant car seat, a Fisher-Price swing, a stroller and 3 large garbage bags of clothing. A friend of his best friend's fiancee was selling the lot online for $60, so he contacted her and bought it. I received and bought quite a few books for our daughter, so I wrapped all them up and placed them under the tree. So when she's old enough, we'll show her the video that we were thinking of her even though she was still in Mommy's tummy!

Ah, I've been looking for one of these! It's always fun to read and it might give me gift ideas for next year too ~

As for me, I gave: A mango scented shower gel and body lotion set, Milka chocolate, Hussel chocolate, LUSH products (a bubble bar, a massage bar and soaps), Pokémon Sun, a book, fleece slippers and non-slip socks, an oil and vinegar dispenser set and a Family Guy DVD.

And got: The Walking Dead Season 6 DVD, a Carol Peletier Pop Vinyl, a sweater, some cash, movie tickets, a hand cream from LUSH, a hard case for my sunglasses, a table lamp for my room, chocolate, a book, a bracelet and a manicure kit.

I'm exchanging gifts with my friends tomorrow so I'm definitely going to spend some of my Christmas money while getting a last minute gift or two. Merry Christmas everyone! c:

I gave two homemade keychains, fancy beer and an eyebrow trimmer.

I got two board games, a steak knife, 10 packs of instant ramen, money, a book and to my surprise, a trip to Berlin with my mom and aunt.

I wanted to give much more than what I did, I am pretty ashamed of how little I was able to give. December is the only month this year I've been completely and beyond broke, and I know for certain I'd have more than enough in January to give people way nicer gifts.

I feel bad, but grateful at the same time, that so many people are saying money was tight for them so they couldn't give as much as they wanted, while I'm here having had such a good, financially stable year for the first time in a long time so I really got to give everyone on my list what I wanted to get them.

I got perfume, a shoe rack, two Alex and Ani bracelets, a necklace, one of those detailed adult coloring books, a 36 gallon fish tank and matching stand, a new winter jacket, some gift cards and money, and a Surface Pro 4 (extremely surprised and delighted by that last one! My laptop has been working poorly recently so I'm glad to have that to use now). My boyfriend's family are coming from out of town so we haven't gotten theirs yet.

I'm super jealous of your fish tank! I'm trying to convince my husband to let me get one after we move, but he only wants one if it's a saltwater tank :/ I just want some freshwater fishies!
