I'm trying to make a nostalgic toy and Vanya has asked for this as one of the items to bring to him. There are none in the shops at the moment.

I'm wondering if anyone have this on hand, or has seen this item restock somewhere?

According to Subetalodge (http://www.subetalodge.org/list_all/search/wood+carver/mode/name) this item is suppose to restock at Thimble & Co but I'm a bit puzzled as shop search doesn't say if it restocks there (https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/search/shops/Wood+Carvers+Kit) but that it did restock in the crystal shop once (not there anymore)?

I also checked the item directory (https://subeta.net/item/name/Wood+Carvers+Kit but it just says crystal shop.

My understanding is if an item has a rarity rating between 1-99 it should normally be restocking somewhere in the main shops regardless of whether it's in another shop or not?

If I can't find the item, and quit, I'll lose my instruction? If I decide to wait, is there a time limit on the quest to bring the items back to Vanya? Is this item actually restocking properly? If it is, which shop is it suppose to be in?

The shop search doesn't list the main shops that items restock in unless they're currently in stock. It does restock at Thimble & Co.

Unfortunately if you quit, you would lose the instructions but there's no time limit for finishing the quest

Thanks for letting me know! I guess that means this kit must have been used for some really popular pets and all the copies in the user shops got snatched up.

It's interesting to see that the other kits (plastic, plushie, metal) are all in shop search at reasonable prices. This is only my second time making a nostalgic toy so I don't have much experience with what to expect with the quest.

Fingers crossed that I will come across it at Thimbles hopefully or when the price drops to a reasonable level when they are back in user shops.

The new Paralix takes one and seems to be pretty popular, so yeah that's probably what happened. I need all the nostalgic toys for a TC so I added all the kits to my WL a couple of days ago and I'm pretty sure they all had some in shops at the time.

There should be some back in shops once the demand for the Paralix dies down a little bit. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long to finish your pet c:

I guess that's why! :D The Paralix is really beautiful. I've just started looking up the nostalgic toys and realised different toys require different kits - No wonder some kits are in higher demand than others. The nostalgic toys are so detailed... I also hope to collect all of them, one day!

I just received Wood Carvers Kit from a kind anon who graciously and generously gifted it to me! :D I'm really moved (got tears in my eyes) and speechless by their kindness! <3 ____

I can verify what said about them selling out from usershops, I had three of them in my shop before the announcement, and they sold within minutes of the timestamp of the News post.
