Arguments can be funny...especially when you happen to be right, and the other person is wrong. Have you ever had any arguments like this? I've had a fair few, but these two are two of my favourites.

  1. It doesn't snow in my area of Australia, though we do get hail from time to time, and sometimes we get enough to have the ground covered in slush and kids can build slushmen and have slushball fights, but it's not snow.

One time there was a hail storm, which left enough for this to happen...I was at University at the time, and that evening I got a text from my then boy friend asking if I "Saw the snow". This is how the conversation went:

Me: No...I saw the hail.

Him: Same thing.

Me: It's not the same thing at all.

Him: Yes it is, look at this wikipedia article. It say they're both forms of frozen Precipitation Therefore, they're the same thing.

Me: No! That's like me saying a carrot and an eggplant are the same thing because they're both vegetables. They're not the same thing.

Him: You silly idiot yes they are!

  1. This one happened when I was a kid. At it was a very much of a 'ha ha' moment. My friend's dad, and my dad took us to one of the Star Trek movies (can't remember which one) and we started arguing about the theme. I kept humming the Star Trek one, but she kept doing Star Wars. She then told me that I was going to feel "Very silly" when the credits rolled and the song she had been humming was played.

The credits played...and I just looked at her. She gave me a look that said "Not one word." She was 9 and I would have been about 10.

So let's hear your funny arguments!

I love bickering to people who say "I don't eat salad" by asking "Why do you drink beer?".

If this goes as expected, I love how my posts have a terminal effect on threads.

Old, and obsolete.
