I was looking at my quest achievements and noticed that I never did the Merana one. So I went to the Omen Islands to see if I could find her and think about what pet I would want hydrus, only to, well, not find her.

Lots of googling later, I discovered that she's "moved"-ish in relation to the plot that happened this year.

Is she still accessible somewhere for turning pets hydrus-colored? Even if you didn't participate in the plot? Or has that ship sailed (ha)?

she is supposed to be back, but right now she is enjoying her freedom and we don't know where she is. It is not possible to do that quest Achievement right now.

Okay, thank you. Sounds like an indefinite timeframe thing?

my own guess based on the staff comments I read is that she would be back soonish, but it's been a month and a half by now.

talked about changing her quests so that you could quit them in a Suggestion thread only a week ago, so it's still being worked on.
