How often do revamps of pet colors happen?

I am not fond of new revamp for my pet Welx and am planning to change him. My wife suggested making him Angelic and I'm rather fond of the idea as the facial expression would fit him really well. However, I've only been able to find the Angelic Montre has been revamped around 7 years ago and this scares me that Id end up with the same situation on my hands in a few years.. How often do revamps of pet colors happen? How 'safe' am I? I don't exactly want to make a whiny thread, but I'm a bit scared xD

afaik there isn't a real schedule or anything but also the art that gets updated/revamped is art that just doesn't really fit in with the rest of the site, so the angelic montre (which i love tbh) will proooobably not get touched anytime soon since it looks so good already, so you're safe |D
, thanks for the reply! Ugh, I'm inclined to went and whine that there was no need for a Reborn Montre revamp, I think it fit in great Q_Q And I like it much more than angelic..

you could always put the old art on his profile as an overlay!

or if you want something more... extreme you could also replace all new reborn montre art with the old one i guess? xD uh i think there may be a couple browser ad-ons for that but don't actually know any orz
also, because why not :> if i had a parrot i'd so let it chill on my head all the time
hm, never dabbed into doing anything for my pets other than making them eat yucky potions, but could I maybe use the old montre art as a custom overlay? or is this not allowed?

i only found the general overlay rules but couldn't find anything for custom overlays ; - ; but i think i remember reading when they came out someone asked if we could submit old pet art and staff said no, but i'm not 100% sure haha
thanks again! I guess ill submit a ticket in a few days o: Definitely remember seeing some barely changed art as a custom overlay, so maybe I can squeeze in through that loophole if it's not allowed outright.

I would maybe file a ticket and ask about using old pet art for an overlay, juuuuust in case, and then you can be certain.

is right about not being able to submit the old art as a custom overlay. It's still official Subeta artwork, and cannot be used under the "No unaltered official Subeta artwork" rule for overlays. However, you could EDIT the old art, such as changing the colours or adding markings. Then you could use it as an overlay.
