My friend recommended it, and my boyfriend and I finished 'marathoning' it earlier. Has anyone else seen it? How'd you feel about it? Did a particular episode affect you emotionally in some way? Do you have a favorite? What makes it your favorite?
Of all of them, I think s3e5 hit me the hardest. I'm by no means a soldier, I don't even think I could survive boot camp (though my former-Navy boyfriend tells me otherwise), but simply seeing that, thinking that technology even plausible, then to use the truth against the people fighting for you should it be revealed to them, and to top it all off, their show of gratitude is to stick them in a run down house in a bad part of town. Granted he doesn't know it, it doesn't make it any better. I just...-shakes head- I suppose what makes it, and many other episodes, so...touching so to speak, are their plausibility. Such as the world where everything about you is rated by everyone, and your score determines how you're viewed, what you have access to, your popularity. I think I read something about a similar system being implemented in part of China...
I loved it. The one with rating got to me. I tend not to care what other people think as long as I can look at myself in a mirror. It would be stressful to be rated I would be the trucker.
Serenity is not freedom from the storm but peace amid the storm...

I've seen the first three episodes. The first one I enjoyed immensely but the other two did nothing for me. I couldn't get over how awful all people treated each other at all times. I don't know a great deal about Charlie Brooker but all the stories seemed to have come from the mind of a person who hasn't experienced an awful lot of human connection.
omg i loved it... I just binged it a couple of weeks ago and I might run through it again because I enjoyed it so much (altho I'm confused about how it got to 3 seasons without me hearing about it before?!)
my fave eps are San Junipero and the one about ratings where she loses her status, those were so fantastic. I think the one that probably made me the most uncomfortable was the one with the little digital personal assistant. Like... yikes... lmao that is truly scary
Yes!! The rating episode definitely got to me. It was so interesting to watch but at the end I was just vaguely horrified.
God, the rating one absolutely killed me, especially when they started integrating the little negative boop sounds into the music itself. Gaahhhh.
