Weren't shop names limited like usernames? Once someone has it, no one else can sort of deal. Was that changed, with the new shops?

Not complaining, actually wondering, since it's weird seeing a shop called Grave Concoctions, that isn't mine.

Years ago (like when I started lol), it wouldn't let me change my shop to "..." because it kept telling me it wasn't available and as I checked, there was a shop named "..." already but let me use a ridiculous amount of periods. Weird. /shrug

If this was the case, it was changed much longer ago than during the shop change. There was a suggestion thread made shortly after the change advocating for names to be unique, but that got very little support.

Oh well lol! I'm not surprised it was shot down, because people do want shops named after games/movies/books/etc and there are only so many shop names your fandom can have.

You can use a search engine on whatever shopnames in subeta.net to see the duplicates for yourself. Subeta is well indexed in Google. Once I found that shops are Find-able here, I made sure mine were interesting so if someone found something they liked in my shop they could come back even if they forgot my username. YMMV.

Like I said, it was forever and day ago. I was likely 12 or so, when that happened and Subeta's gone through tons of changes since. Google fails me 24/7/365 with Subeta searches.XD
