I have been on this site for years and I never really understood it, I've been getting much more into everything lately though and would really appreciate a breakdown lol

Ah, so you have finally decided to rejoin us, have you? Falling on your blade in grief seemed like too much trouble, I take it?

buy low and sell high!

Pretty much anything you can buy from the Main Shops will sell for more than what you paid for it. Some of them will not. Until you get a good idea on which items they are, and these items change as the Subetan economy is dynamic, you will need to Shop Search each item in a separate window or tab.

In the end, you need to decide how much profit per item and per time required for you to find that item to buy is worth your effort for yourself. Me, I try to double my investment scrip, or make 16K profit, whichever is greater.

you are welcome.

There is no one way to restock. You should leave this question open for a bit, there are other users here with good and different opinions than mine and you may like them better.

I love restocking, for me it is a pastime.

I think you might make better SP doing quests, but if you do all your quests, this is a good thing to do afterward.

Everyone has their own favorite shops to stalk. Most people don't like to share, because they are afraid of people taking the advice to heart and going to their "territory" ;)

Personally, I like RSing at Plushie Parlor because I like looking through the adorable plushies every time. But Book Nook is usually pretty lucrative for me as well.

Good Luck!

[edit] Oh, I also want to say this is a great way to find TC items for your pets!

I work best picking one shop and working with that, its easier for me to remember what's valuable and what's not.

I go to SubetaLodge, make a custom list of items for the chosen shop. Then I pick around 60 items that a) show up regularly and b) provide good ROI. Then sort my list by item ID (because that's the order they show up in shops), then shop. The list is helpful not only to make it easier to find my chosen items, but I also to do shop search to check if my chosen items are still generating a good profit.
