I tried this for the first time and I burned the cookie, but i'm not sure why. I set a timer and refreshed the page, and it said it takes 1 minute, then 0 minutes. Then I clicked to check when i had the option and the cookie was already burnt :( is the timespan that small? I'm a bit discouraged tbh, and feel like I should have sold the ingredients instead :c

baking is for the fun of it. It's not really all that profitable. I think folks are doing it in anticipation of Achievement or they just like to bake. Getting to the next level requires you to bake more things than you have a use for, so unless you restock the items yourself, it's pretty much a loss until you get to the really high levels.

Timing has nothing to do with it. If you show up early, the item is not done. If you show up late, the item mysteriously is perfect. NPC Fantine must have sous chefs or something that take your stuff our of her darn oven you space-hog, so the refresh there represents you begging those helpers to tell you where they put your finished goody or something.

Whether or not an item burns is random. Your skill level and the recipe level doesn't seem to have any relation to how often stuff burns.

It's random. At higher levels, you have a lower chance of burning lower level recipes but it has nothing to do with how fast you go back to the page.

Ah, it's random, that makes it better, I really thought I had done something wrong.. I'm okay with it not being super profitable, I guess I just expected it differently. Maybe I should try it again with restocking! Thanks for answering, have a nice day! :)

you are welcome. It's too bad Disney Fairies MRPG shut down, because with their mechanism for baking all those things like measuring and mixing and oven temperature mattered and it was kinda fun. Subeta is much less sophisticated than that.
