<p>This is not a &quot;how-to&quot;, but a &quot;what-to-do&quot; type guide. :)
The purpose of this thread is to introduce newer players to different aspects of the site, and help older users find ways to freshen up their Subeta experience.</p>
<p>If you are feeling confused about what to do next on Subeta, this is the guide for you!</p>
<p>This is a quick-reference guide, so although I will provide general information on a given subject or activity, if it requires additional information I will provide a link to a pre-existing guide. Also, this guide does not include EVERY thing you can possibly do on Subeta, just ideas on what to do next if you are stuck.</p>
<p>Each topic of &quot;to-do&;s&quot; will be listed under separate spoiler tags to keep this guide organised and easy to view. Click on a spoiler tag (green bar) to access information on that topic.</p>

<p>Many &quot;dailies&quot; can actually be done more than once a day. Click &quot;Set an Alert&quot; or &quot;Make an Alert&quot; after playing a daily to get an event when you can do it again.</p>

<p>Have you checked the news page?
Chances are there is an event or holiday going on right now.</p>
<p>There are many holidays sprinkled throughout the year on Subeta.
You can learn more about Subetan holidays here.</p>
<p>All of the holidays include plenty of activities to get involved in: all you have to do is check the news page to see what is currently happening.</p>
<p>For many holidays, there will be a new forum added specifically for holiday talk (check these for guides to new items or how to do activities).</p>
<p>New holiday items are added to the main shops depending on item type, and after the holiday ends they are eventually retired (meaning you only have a limited time to get them). You can also try vending the holiday items from their respected vending machines. :)</p>
<p>There are achievements you can gain ONLY during certain holidays or events. If it is an event (something that doesn&;t happen regularly each year), you may never be able to get that achievement again. So it&;s a good idea to try and get achievements while an event is happening!</p>
<p>Need help getting a holiday achievement? Some achievements can seem hard to get (for example, if you need 50 people to egg your house during Morostide). You can use the holiday-specific forum to ask people to egg your house for you.</p>
<p>Even trying to collect all of the new holiday items can be a goal (you can check Subetalodge&;s recent items list here during an event or holiday to see new items).

<summary>Quests</summary>
</p>
<p>Have you done any quests today?</p>
<p>Questing is one of the most basic Subeta do&;s. It&;s one of the easiest ways to make sP, and there are a lot of achievements to be gained through quests. Some items you can only gain through quests.</p>

<p>Tired of Wizard and Saggitarius quests? Why not try a new quest? There are achievements to be earned for sure.</p>
<p>You can also randomly earn QuestPoints by doing a variety of quests. These Points can be used to buy all sorts of items from various quest NPCs. Find the QuestPoint Shop here.</p>
<p>Every weekend we have a &quot;weekend quest&quot;, where a quest is chosen at random and the prizes are increased for the entire weekend. For example, you can earn a 50 point WT instead of a 15 point WT by doing Wizard Quests while it is the weekend quest. Not sure how much to spend during a weekend quest? Feel free to comment on the news post about the weekend quest. There is usually someone willing to answer your question.</p>
<p>Here is a handy vending guide to help you decide where to spend your WT.
Don&;t forget that it can also be a good idea to save some of your WT away. The Token Shop will restock occasionally and you will need a decent supply of WT to purchase an item from the shop.</p>
<p>*Sarah&;s quests are designed specifically for new users, and give higher rewards to help those users build sP. Try them out!

<summary>Get Social</summary>
</p>
<p>Have you been browsing the site in solitude?</p>
<p>There are MANY reasons to make friends on Subeta. It&;s a lot more fun when you can do things with a friend (sharing excitement over new item releases, gifting eachother, birthdays, helping eachother gain achievements: it&;s endless really).</p>
<p>Not sure how to make friends? Check out this thread to find other people looking to make friends.</p>
<p>Not sure how to stay in contact with friends? There are a few helpful widgets to stay connected.
Go to the Customize Sidebar page.
Here you can add widgets like Friend Feed (this will show you what your friends are doing around Subeta), Shoutbox (it&;s like a Subeta IM system with other online users, try it out), and Friends Online (this will show you what friends are currently on Subeta). Try sending a gift to a friend who appears online - they will usually reply with thanks quickly and you&;ll feel great!</p>

<summary>Get Generous</summary>
</p>
<p>Find yourself with sP to spare?</p>
<p>Get generous and donate!</p>
<p>Give a wrapped gift through the Gift Wrapping Center.
You can check out your friend&;s wishlists.
Try sending anonymously even! Everyone loves getting an anonymous gift, and they may even post in this forum to say thanks.</p>
<p>Look for a birthday icon in the forums and send that person a birthday gift.
Add the Shoutbox sidebar widget and send the people posting there gifts.</p>
<p>Donate to the Donation Center. Throw a few rare or expensive items in there, or bomb the center with hundreds of gifts (try not to donate junk though - delete or throw away those items instead).</p>
<p>Anonymously gift MANY users with the same type of message, the same type of item, or with a funny picture - you might become well-known as your anonymous gifting character.

<summary>Go Mobile</summary>
</p>
<p>Check out Subeta on your smart phone or tablet.</p>
<p>There are some activities you can do on Subeta multiple times a day. For example, you can play Random once every hour or two.</p>
<p>I like to keep certain games open in tabs on my smart phone to refresh while I&;m at work (on break of course...)
That way I&;m still getting items or sP even while I&;m not really browsing Subeta.</p>
<p>This is a helpful trick for use during a Holiday or Event as well. For example, during Morostide you can trick or treat at a person&;s profile once every 20 minutes or so. I just refresh that link occasionally at work - that way I can stay active in the holiday and earn items even when I&;m working a full-time job.</p>

<summary>Collections/Galleries</summary>
</p>
<p>Why not get into collecting?</p>
<p>Collections can become a great hobby to keep you busy on Subeta.
There are some item collections you can show off on your profile by adding the &quot;details&quot; section. These include trading cards, beanbags, tiles, pumpkins, stickers, and bobbleheads.</p>
<p>You can also start a Gallery. Choose to collect only themed items (only pink items, fire-type items, Pokemon-esque items, etc.) or try collecting ONE particular item you really love. The possibilities are endless. You can use the item search feature on Subetalodge for help finding items to match your theme.

<p>Want to earn special items and forum titles?</p>
<p>Why not try your luck at becoming an achievement hunter. There are hundreds of achievements for you to try and get. Some require you to complete certain quests, for others you must have a set of clothes in your wardrobe - there are far too many to list.</p>

<summary>Challenge Yourself</summary>
</p>
<p>TRY NEW THINGS!</p>
<p>Never battled before? Check out this useful thread.</p>
<p>Pets seem a little drab? Why not pay someone for an overlay? Or open a shop yourself.
Create a story and have someone critique it. If your pet is good enough, you could win the Pet Spotlight!</p>
<p>Combine items at the lab to make totally new ones. Find combination lists here.</p>
<p>Go into your Wardrobe and select Use Clothes From: All Clothing On Subeta to create a dream avatar to work towards.</p>
<p>Do things on Subeta you haven&;t tried before!
We tend to fall into routine, even while on pet sites. Older users will attest to this: you can get bored doing the same thing every day. There are SO many routes to take on this site, all you have to do is try something you haven&;t before.
There are tons of helpful guides out there in the forums, and there is always the Help and Questions forum if you&;re not sure how to go about something or can&;t find the information you need.</p>
