It the rreigns set fire to the fairies, do they count as fireflies? More importantly, can we collect them?

I live in MN, and whatever you've heard... It's much worse.

Fairies come in REs, not floating items, so Fireside running late shouldn't have any effect on them. But yeah, I got one earlier today so they are out and about
