Is it possible for a job to expire?

I do not see the job 'groomer' on the job listing page...unless I keep missing it? ??

no jobs are missing. NPC Maybel is the most likely employee for pets-related things. Have you tried looking under Minion Market?

The other thing is to find the v.3 version of the jobs and their requirements in Games opening up all the Spoilers and then searching for Groomer.

Groomer is the level 3 position at Adopt R Us.

No, not an idiot at all! They're hard to find and easy to forget, Actually, I'm just glad it hadn't changed because I think the list I have subscribed to may be older than the v.3 list.
