I seriously think our mailman hates me. Im a freebie addict and get packages in almost daily. Like for example I have 4 coming in tomorrow and 6 coming in on sat. Well about a month ago he started complaining hes not going to deliver our mail anymore cause of where the mailbox is. This house is like 15 years old and the mailbox location has never been a problem, so I think its all my packages. Hes tired of getting his lazy bum out and walking them to the door lol.

If you're in the US, you can get him trouble for failure of mail delivery. He's legally obligated to, whether he wants to or not. If he can't do his job, he needs to gtfo.

I never see the mailman. I live in apartments and they have one of those huge box like thing with small mailboxes. Usually if I order a package, I have to go to the town post office to pick it up. Very inconvenient.

I live in an apartment, but we have our own separate entries. I'm on very good terms with my mailman lol. Sometimes when I see him at the mailbox, he'll give me my parents mail. I went to a wedding in October and I ordered a shirt online. He delivered it to my parents house because I wasn't home.

Yes my mail lady is pretty rude, and for some reason doesn't bother to deliver packages. Whenever I have a package coming that doesn't fit in the mailbox, she doesn't even knock, she just leaves a "sorry we missed you" thing. So then I have to go to the post office to get it myself. It is so fucking irritating. Next time I have to do that I'm filing a complaint. Grr.

I lived in an apartment earlier this year and whenever someone had a package, the mailman would leave it in the office

My mailman doesn't deliever my mail until like 5:30/ 6:00. I'll be getting in my car to go to work and he'll yell, "do you want your mail or just leave it in the box?" I wanted it three hours ago. Leave it in the box. I'm leaving for work and there's three other people in the house who can get it.

we have a tall fence wall thing around our house, to keep our pool area safe, and our old mailman used to just... chuck packages over it... even on rainy days. somehow none of them every fell into the pool at least...

I had one that I think hated Netflix. All my mail was always fine except for Netflix envelopes. She did her best to rip all of them.

The mailperson for freakin' YEARS would just throw packages over the railing (the apartment has a foyer, and staircase so all mailboxes are inside the building). This means when I requested college brochure stuff, the literal, heavy paperback book from SVA slammed against the door and scared my mom. She wasn't amused that day... But that has stopped; the former mail-lady was unpleasant.

Now stuff is either... A) left by the mailboxes or B) is placed at the door, with no doorbell rung so it sits there lol. It depends who delivers that day, since it seems there are rotating people for my mom's place. I know nothing about how mail gets delivered at the place I rent and I'm going to test the waters as soon as I can by politely requesting a package by delivered to the basement door (aka my front door).

We have several postmen who share our village, and they're always pretty cheery. It's probably just a regional thing, living in a rural area etc. I think they all hate my dog though haha, he screeches like mad :P

I was about to bring this up. It was that one carrier only. Odd.

That sounds like a confession to me. In fact the double negative has led to proof positive. I'm afraid you gave yourself away.

There's a very high turnover rate for mail carriers where I live, for some reason, so none of them have been around long enough to develop an antipathy towards us. We have had some spectacular mistakes running the length of the entire street, though.
