Tonight the moon is the closest to Earth it will be until 2034, resulting in a beautiful, big, bright full moon! Are you enjoying it? Having a moon celebration? For the magically inclined, doing spellwork and soaking it in? For astronomers, breaking out the telescope and getting an especially close look? Let's talk pretty moony things!

Tonight's moon is gorgeous! I couldn't believe it when I went outside to take out the garbage. Unfortunately, I was in my lounge around the house PJS (the ones I use to play with my bird) and it was chilly out, so I didn't stay out there long. I wish I had a good camera and a long lens.
P.S. I'll be almost 50 in 2034 O_O
It really is pretty! It's a bit chilly here too, and worse, it's cloudy, so mostly I just peeked out my window when it came out between clouds. I bought some moony crystals today--selenite, moonstone, angelite--so those are hanging out in the windowsill.

Do the crystals do anything, like bring good luck? I know next to nill about crystals.
It's cloudy here. :c
I'll be close to my parents' age the next time this happens, huh.

Well, the way I see it they don't exactly do anything, at least not as literally as some people thing of it, but I appreciate their aesthetic (woo pretty rocks!), ritual, and symbolic "purposes"--in this case mainly calming and encouraging peacefulness~
Cloudy here too! I keep getting little peeks through the haze though ;;

Haha. Me too. I posted this in my comment at the top "I'll be almost 50 in 2034"
Hmm. I always wanted moonstone. Maybe I should invest in that gem.
I got a piece of rainbow moonstone today that has bands of iridescence through it in the right light. Sooo pretty! Not to be confused with opalite glass which is often labelled/sold as rainbow moonstone...annoying, and a totally different thing.

We have this stand in the shopping center that sells gems like amber and things like that. I trust them. I've gotten a few pieces from them before. Expensive, but nice. I have paua earrings and abalone earrings. I don't know the difference between the two, but you can't submerge them in rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide or else you'll ruin them.
My dad has telescopes and tonight would be the perfect time to glance at the moon in all her glory. Unfortunately, my dad is at work =(
It's raining here as always when sth interesting happens. Too bad, there's no chance that I am still here for the next supermoon. O.o
lmao I missed it xD other people where I live said they didn't see it any larger :c
I remember a big moon from when I was younger, it was great - big and orange :3
I wish I could have seen it in person. All I saw were pictures online and on the news on tv. By the time I got out of work, it was normal size, although it did have a double halo around it which was pretty cool. I was hoping to take a break when I was at work and go outside to look, but there was no one to cover me.
I am so upset that I spaced out and missed seeing the supermoon. I've seen pictures of it online, but I think it would have been really cool to actually see it in person. I'm actually really sad about it. :(

I gotta be honest - looked almost exactly the same as it does every night for me. I was kinda underwhelmed.
