this just... is such a weird thing to me. every single pet name in the adoption center is in quotes. why? what is the purpose? why can't they just be displayed normally? is it a coding thing? if it's at all possible, i think it makes more sense for them to... you know... NOT be in quotes. right?? am i weird for thinking that?? it's such a small 'suggestion' and it's not THAT big of a deal but it can get a bit confusing with pets whose names start and end with special characters, and it just strikes me as an incredibly odd choice. idk, if it's a programming thing someone let me know but i feel like it would just be one line of code?

I don't think the quotation marks could be confused with special characters a pet has. It would just show up "JimBob." Or "Joe_"

yes, i saw a pet whose name started with an asterisk and it took me a moment to realize the asterisk was even there because "* is kind of confusing to look at.
