Between trying to fix new pets and old pets I've hit a pretty hard wall here and I'm wondering to myself if I really want to take the time and effort to fix profiles from my older pets.
Anyone else having issues deciding if it's worth the time and effort?
A few of them have been broken since the original change over and I can't recover a lot of the art/coding.
As tedious and time consuming as it is, I do make an effort to go back and update older pets. It gets tiring, but the longer I leave them untouched, the more "outdated" they get compared to more recently worked on pets. It creates too much contrast for my liking, and I'd much rather have things as uniform as possible.
With 63 pets though, it's easier said than done unfortunately!
I usually just delete the profile for older pets and leave them as is, but that's a personal choice. With some older pets, the story I wanted to convey with the pet is still there so there's no reason to update their story even if the profile no longer works. That said, I do eventually plan to update some, if not all of my outdated pet profiles. Some of them, Geppetto for instance still work and I don't really see a reason to update them when the profile itself hasn't broken.
Others, like Charming and Waterhouse I plan to update eventually.
Oh gosh I am at that point right right now. I've been going through my pets and weeding out the ones that although I love, I just haven't done anything with and don't see anything for. Now I have profiles to plod in and wow. yeah I know how you are feeling. Some just.. need to be wiped clean and then some need tweaked.
Good luck.

I have no idea what happened to the pet profiles over the last couple of years, but I took a look at mine and the code in all of them is scrambled. Thankfully, it was busted in such a way that I could just find + replace in notepad and have functional code again.
God bless find + replace

I actually really like that idea. I never thought of that
They upgraded the coding functionality a few times :(
It's more due to convenience than anything else. I have 53 pets on site so, updating all of them would take forever especially when I don't have the funds to update their profiles on a constant basis so usually I just delete the broken profile code and leave them be unless it's a huge issue that I must, must fix.
