Gauthier was born the third son to a wealthy bourgeois family in the bourg of Asnières on Seine River banks, a few miles from Paris. He learned the violin in his youth and was a musician to the court of Louis XVI after his Beauxbâtons years.
He took the name "de Lisch" shortly after the Revolution started where he joined the ranks of the "Confrérie de la Fleur de Lys", his former house in Beuxbâtons. These wizards were in favor of a parliamentary monarchy. They were dubbed the "Blancs" and as such quickly found themselves at odds with the "Rouges" from the "Confrérie du Temple" which favored the Revolution. Gauthier took part in many fights until his "Confrérie" was subdued and most of its active members beheaded (therefore him included). It is unknown, even to him why he reappeared as a ghost no sooner had the blade fell. It certainly scared the hell out of his executioner, not every time you fail at such a job.
Since then he has haunted his hometown and was glad to see a train Station take his name in the Universal Exhibition in 1878 who was then transferred to Asnières and since long forgotten. You can go there if you wish and listen to him play the violin. It's true he likes to pick new musics from the muggle youths who sneak in there at night but if he finds it despicable he won't hesitate to make them go away in a purely ghostly manner (this does not involve throwing his head, he hates to have it detached thank you very much).
If Gauthier isn't French to most of you guys I'll be very pissed XD The bits about Confréries are from a headcanon/fanfic idea I have about Beauxbâtons. No I couldn't just pass on giving him a proper biography ;p And last please excuse any mistakes, it's almost 2am here...--"

Gauthier de Lisch was said to be born in 1914 in France but the exact date is unknown and even the year is an approximation since there are no records to prove it. His favorite pastime even as a child was playing the violin and since then show lots of talent, so much he almost skipped going to study in Beauxbatons Academy of Magic to simply dedicate his life to music. As a wizard he excelled in most aspects except he is a terrible potion maker, but he was wonderful with spells, so much he created several spells himself like the Time Prolonging Spell which he mostly used to have longer period of times to practice the violin and was his greatest discovery as a wizard since he could prolonged every minute of time by five for a maximum amount of time of an hour, in short he could turn one hour into five and that's a lot of time on his advantage! But don't thinks things were so easy, yes you could extend time but it wear down on you so if you overused the method you would be accelerating your aging process and this was exactly what killed him. As great as his discovery was it had a big burden to pay, so in case you want to live longer do not try this spell. Gautier died at the age of 40 and was a very famous violinist of his time but even when he was still young on the outside was quite old on the inside thanks to his magic spell.
With his desire to still perform since he died a young age, he returned as a ghost and now plays eternally in every magical place he gets invited to, and sometimes not invited too.

Serafina
Fable, House Slytherin
Serafina's story is a tragic one.
It was the 1920's...the United States was in the thrall of the Prohibition times and people were desperate for something to take their minds away from the tedium of everyday life.
Serafina was a lounge singer, she would come out night after night to the clouds of smoke surrounding a dark stage. Her voice enchanted many...but two suitors in particular fought for her affections. A poor musician, William, who couldn't offer her much but whom she loved and a mafia boss, Benito, who could offer her everything but whom she couldn't stand to be around.
She really didn't have much of a choice, once she was chosen by Benito. Everyone was scared of him. He covered her in the finest of clothes, fur stoles and jewels. She still sang at the bar for his entertainment and afterwards he paraded her around as his prize. Scandalously, William and her still saw each other. Ducking into shadows, planning carefully when the crime boss would be gone.
But as I said...this is a tragic story and Benito became suspicious. He ordered one of his men to watch her and their affair was found out. The next time, it was Benito who waited for the couple. No one cheated one him and he would make an example of them.
Benito set in the shadows of the dark room where the couple met. One by one they entered. Not much is known about what happened behind that rooms closed door, save the flashes of light that came from gun shots.
When the room was entered later, all were dead. Seraphina lay next to her beloved musician, their hands holding in a final embrace.
Singing was a symbol of freedom and love to Seraphina, one even in death she would never give up.

Adelheim Koller
Adelheim Koller was born in 1655 in the harbor town of Bregenz, Austria, to Muggle parents. His mother Alessa died in childbirth, and his Father Berowalt raised him on his own.
Berowalt was a harpsichordist. He forced Del to learn to play one, often not letting him eat until he had performed his scales properly. The beatings were commonplace when Del did not do as well as Bero wanted him to, and Del grew to hate his Father, and the harpsichord, very quickly.
But, his life and his future were not his own... he did nothing but eat, sleep, pray and practice. By the time Del was 7, his Father had him performing all around the Austrian Empire with him, and when Del was 8, he retired and managed his son's career for him.
Del wanted more out of life, but grudgingly accepted it wasn't going to happen while his Father was alive. Maybe one day he would have his own family, and he certainly wouldn't make his children do something they didn't want to do.
Still, he hated to admit it to himself, he did enjoy playing when his Father wasn't there to constantly critique -and correct- him. There were a number of songs he had learned that his Father felt were beneath him, one in particular, that Del had gotten his Father's cane for on more than one occasion. Del couldn't help it, he loved that song.
Del garnered much fame, due to his talent and his demanding Father, who had expanded Del's performance range to include most of Europe.
Nothing would stop Del from performing..his Father just wouldn't hear of it. If Del was sick, or just exhausted from touring so much, no matter, he performed. Not even a fancy school invitation delivered by owl on Del's 11th birthday mattered. The boy hated his Father for it.
Adelheim was 15 when he arrived in Venice, Italy during Carnival. It was a wondrous sight to see, he loved the costumes and canals and he wanted so badly to go out, but his Father, who would have none of this nonsense, locked him in his room until it was time to perform.
Del started to rehearse, then found his attention drifting away to the sounds from the street below. He walked to the window and looked out, and after a few minutes, he could stand it no more.
Del carefully slipped out the window, and went to experience Carnival. How grand it all was, how otherworldly !!
He wandered through the brightly colored and masked crowd in amazement. The sounds, even the smells were intoxicating.
A masked woman approached him, all draped in velvet, who looked into his eyes and his very soul. She took his pale hand and led him away, to a dark alley where they could be alone.
Her face was flushed and she was sweating, but Del paid no mind to that, thinking the mask must have been warm to wear. Her lips met his, and within a few minutes nothing else mattered but the ecstasy he felt being with her.
They made themselves presentable, she coughing slightly as she walked back into the lively street, he smiling broadly as he made his way back up the window to his room.
He bathed and changed his clothes, and began to play happily. His Father was none the wiser when he returned later to see Del hard at work rehearsing.
The next day Del awoke feverish, but Bero paid it no mind. Del had performances, and by God he would give them the show of their lives, or there would be Hell to pay.
And perform Del did, and the crowd loved him. All of his ill feelings were pushed aside while the crowd cheered for him. After his last bow, he staggered off the stage, and his Father grabbed him by the arm, dragging him back to his room.
Del was put to bed with a light supper, of which he could barely eat a bite. His body hurt, and his lungs felt heavy. Breathing was difficult. He was so tired, and sleep did come to him, along with dreams of fire and pain and blood.
The next day Del awoke late, and his Father was angry with him. Del heard Bero yelling at him through a fog, he could barely walk, or see straight, but his Father made him rehearse anyway.
Del felt terrible, and was worried that this was no minor illness. He had heard there were still cases of the Black Death, but had not thought Venice was a danger. Del coughed more often then not that afternoon.
That night, he was bathed and dressed for his next performance, and his bloody coughs now were discreetly into a handkerchief. Del felt sure this night would be his final one on Earth, but he would be free of his Father's tyranny at last.
His performance in the grand theater was marred only by his occasional coughs, which left blood on the keys of his harpsichord. Del concentrated everything he had into that performance, now knowing for certain that he would not survive for another one.
He poured out his actual love of music into that night, set aside all the hatred he had for his Father, and let the music take him. His performance was nothing short of brilliant.
When Del finished his last piece, he slumped over the keyboard, dead...the crowd's cheers still ringing in his ears.
Then he stood up to take his well deserved bows. Strangely enough, he felt completely healthy, and thought maybe he had been wrong about how ill he was. It was then he heard a woman in the crowd scream, and saw looks of alarm from their faces..they were staring at something behind him.
Del turned to look, and saw his lifeless body still at the harpsichord. How can this be, he thought, I am not dead. He watched as people came to tend to him, how his Father wept when they carried his body out.
Then the room emptied out, and he was alone on stage with the harpsichord. He walked slowly over to it, his only friend, and let one finger gently strike the key. The sound reverberated in the theater, and was pleasing to his ear.
With a smile, he sat down to play his favorite song, the one his Father had always forbidden him to play. There would be no more beatings. Now, in death, he finally knew what it felt to truly be alive.

With Saluzzo being well-known for its magnifique cathedrals, the town gained popularity quickly and visitors on their journey came to see them. They often stopped by the bakery to get some food and that was where they met Serafina and she enchanted them with her voice. In the end, she wasn't quite sure if this was just a result of her magical abilities or her voice alone, but she didn't really care. Although she never wanted the fame, she became engulfed in it.
And finally, even the royal court heart of the low-born woman with the haunting voice. Some legends spread, saying that everyone who listened to her would be hypnotized and do all of her bidding. Other people dared to say she was a witch, luring husbands from their wives. At this time, Serafina had not done anything nor did she know about these rumours. She was invited to the court to spent her life there as a singer for entertainment and special occasions. Serafina didn't have to work anymore, she was simply there to sing and tried to become friends with the other women at court, but she was too naive. Unfortunately, royal courts are full of jealousy and intrigues. It was never clear who put the poison in her wine, but it must have been one of the ladies at court.
