Well...
Um...
Here's my second attempt. I think it might make it, maybe...
But I don't have the credits to just submit it.
So I made this to see if anyone is interested in buying one. Well...It's not that big of an overlay, but I've been working on it for a while. It doesn't look that great after I had to shrink it to the right dimensions, either, but... If you are interested, you can post that you want a slot?
The total cost is five thousand so one item would be six hundred. I'm not sure if people will pay that much for this.

So, um... Again, if you are interested...please post?
I know it's not that great...but I'm trying.
And I'm really sorry if I'm pinging for the wrong thing after all, too.
Please ping me back, and I don't really have any rules that go beyond basic logic, etiquette, or Subetas' rules. If someone wants more than one slot (I think it's allowed?) then it could be fine...although I'm not sure how likely someone would several.
And, well...if this one isn't a success, I have a few others I'm making. They're not even halfway finished but I'll put a link of the closest one here and update it as it develops. Don't ask about this one yet, please and sorry.
~Hey you, I looked at your images... I am fairly new to the CW thing myself. the first couple were not drawn my me, but off of my artwork. I would suggest looking at some of the CW help threads. and the specifics on the CW creation rules list which will give you some of the guidelines that are VERY helpful..
As for the image itself....I have to say am not sure what it is. Is it deer feet? Horse feet? And I am betting that'd be an issue with submission. which is why i suggest talking to some of the CW artists who are doing things like limb mods and such. I mostly do clothes and BG's so I am not the best person to ask. I am being honest here, because I know you are new to this. I can try to direct you to some of the people who might be able to help, if you'd like.
It IS a cute idea though.
We are the ones who remember, the ones who see what was, and is, and will be.
Me~
I'm not an artist but I think you are on right track. To me it looks a little pixelated. You may want to move this to the discussion thread to get some pointers from other artists to give you tips on what needs to be done to make it for ready to slot and get on site. Good luck it's a cute idea.
The overlay actually has to be drawn on the subeta avatar base itself to be submitted, did you do that already?
Item image wouldn't accurately represent the overlay, I don't think this is even close to where it needs to be in order to try and take slots, Just being honest, Not being rude or anything so please don't take it like that. The left side you can't even tell what it is so that would likely get it denied also.
I would have to agree with what people have said already, it looks like it needs a little extra before it's ready to take slots on. ^^' I'd be happy to help if you'd like to message me, I only started attempting CW's a year ago myself, but I've kinda got the hang of it now. I know how overwhelming it all is and I'd be more than happy to help point you in the right direction, but I don't claim to be an expert or anything ;-;
But the offer is there! Have a nice day c:
Drawing at 125x250 is worse than 250x500 for me because I'm used to larger canvases but at least it isn't blurred by a downsize this time. Still, it looks more like a children's pastel sticker to me than anything.
I didn't erase the base this time since someone asked if I used one to make the overlay; the submission rules mention to take off the base when submitting so that kind of confuses me, no offense to anyone. :'x I have been using the bases; I need to clear my download history because there's a lot of them in there now from all the line art I've been making.

I'll replace the "broken hoof trimmer" image with a pair of deer "toenails" ...I was wary of doing that in the first place though because that basically suggests hunting- and the process is... a lot more messy than just pieces of keratin. There's a reason why it's called "popping". I wouldn't suggest googling it if you're squeamish of blood, but it is a good way to get a concept of what the hooves are surrounding.
Thanks for all the feedback, and sorry that it's not quite there.. Although it might be an improvement from the last time?
Edit: Here's the next possible image for it. I'm sorry if the hoof trimmer was too vague... I just didn't want to make it deer pieces..

Edit two: Another two I'm also working on.

Well-loved Vinyl Brontosaurus

"It seems to be caked in every color, some not even paint based- but somehow its original color still shows through. Did this come from a daycare? It is missing its head and the obvious malformations it seems to have suffered suggest this. You should probably wash it and your hands."

Hello ! Sadly I do think these need more work. You are right in drawing stuff at the 250x500 size (the user was just making sure you were using the base so it actually fit on it, as your preview didn't show it on the base). Your lines are very pixely, what are you using for them ? What program and brush ? At what size ? Your shading looks like it's done with a soft brush, which can give a flat or blurry appearance. The anatomy, sadly, looks off (especially on the ears and dino body), but those are things that would take a lot more time for me to critique. What size are you using for the CI too ? Your highlight layer looks almost white on all of these, which is giving a very plastic appearance.
Would you like me to move this over to the discussion boards so you can get some more (and better) feedback ? You're off to a good start, but I do think some more practice and time is needed.
