Anyone know how to get a Hydrus pet? Also, how come that and Galactic aren't in potion form yet?

You used to get a Hydrus pet by getting to Omen Islands, and then doing a quest for Merana for her to "bless" your pet. Due to the plot sum up, though, Hydrus is currently unavailable rn. The other option for it is to try your luck with the zapper.

For Galactic, it's pretty much the same deal; you have to wait until the Coda Caves are open and then collect the gems that Itallo asks you to in exchange for him blessing your pet with galactic colors.

to get a galactic pet, you have to start a quest with Iltallo; he'll ask for some crystals which are quite cheap in user shops, but they can also be obtained by mining in the Coda Caves on the 7th and 8th of each month.

actually, hydrus is one of the colors that cannot be obtained from the zapper, along with nostalgic, sweetheart, steamwork, galactic, and angelic.

Ooooh. I thought it was only Angelic and Blacklight that couldn't be obtained via Zapper. It makes sense for Nostalgic, Galactic, Hydrus and Steamwork to be unobtainable that way too....But sweetheart makes me scratch my head xD.

I guess Sweetheart only can be gotten from the potion. I never got a Sweetheart pet from the zapper.

I suppose to make it more special? Though it's not a CSC potion so I'm just not sure why its not in the zapper like most of the other potion colors.

Additional; They're not in potion form to make them a bit different from all the other colors that are, because in Subeta Lore Hydrus is a "Blessing" from Merana....so you can only get a Hydrus pet from her. Same with Itallo. Galactic is a blessing; they're not easily bottled potions. Don't think they ever will be either.

are we expecting her to come back? or is it a mystery? i am itching for a hydrus pet, and i don't know if i should use my loyalty box or be patient!

What's a loyalty box?

you get one every year of membership, after your first year. one of the options when you open the box is to change your pet to any color on the site.

Ohh that sounds neat! If the Omen Lands doesn't return to normal, I can always use that :)

Like, any of you volunteers to go and trap back Merana on the Omen Islands, because count me out for that.

Also, a lot of things are not potions because it's more immersive. You can't elixir a pet into an Aeanoid because they want you to use the gardens, no potion for Hydrus because Merana...

Wait so. Okay it's Angelic and Sweetheart that you cannot get from the zapper for the potion choices? Well alright then xD.

(while I can't say for sure on nostalgic myself, I'll just go ahead and believe the other responders since they seem to know what they're talking about. but hydrus/galactic are also ones I can say for sure.)

Man, I wanted to make my Neela hydrus and I finally got the CSC to change him and now no hydrus available. Doubly annoyed cause I totally missed that event. Do we get messages for events? I wish we did.

I have a hydrus Telenine UFA if you'd be interested ? He's named after the famous Yenisei river, the largest river system flowing to the Arctic Ocean.

Although I'm hoping that the color would keep through a transfer because I think they just return to normal in the pound. Does anyone know?

Directly transferring a pet to another user keeps the hydrus color, yep.
