Yeah, so maybe it's a silly topic but I guess that is what this board is for.

So lately I've been really trying to get into doing Youtube videos. I really want to be a Youtube gamer and eventually earn money doing it. Problem is it seems that one thing after another keeps getting in the way of that and it's really getting me down. I know Youtube isn't easy, it just feels almost impossible at times, but then totally possible at others.

I tried recording my first video and felt great about it only to find that my internal mic on my laptop cuts out horribly, then after that found out the video was running far faster than the audio. I tried tweaking some settings and now all I get are cruddy choppy videos and it's getting me super down.

I guess, what I'd like is some advice. I've been watching a lot of videos on Youtube for advice and things I gotta think about when going into this but I just don't know how gamers get money for the videos they post and it's something I really really want to do because it looks so much fun but it seems all of my equipment hates me and I don't have all that much money to go overhauling all my hardware especially if I don't get anywhere in the Youtube scene.

I'm starting to feel like I should just give up on my dream, but I don't know. I know this probably sounds at least more than mildly whiny. I apologize for that.. I just have no one else to talk to about this kind of thing..
