Ever been really obsessed with a certain food and then they were like HAHA NOT SELLING IT ANYMORE!?! Yeah. So I really really like these cassava chips by Wai Lana. Especially the salt and vinegar ones. I'd like to try the sweet and sour ones too. BUT THEY DON'T SELL THEM ANYWHERE AROUND HERE ANYMORE AND IT IS MAKING ME SUPER SAD AND SUPER PISSED. I used to get them at Busch's. Sometimes Meijer. Then TJ Maxx of all places had them. Now they're nowhere. Not even Whole Foods or Trader Joe. The only place I could get them is on their website, but they're $2.99 for a 3oz. bag there (which I will eat in one sitting) and if I got 5 bags, it'd be $12+ for shipping. So I scoured the internet. Even looked on Amazon and Ebay, which I wouldn't normally buy food on a site like that, but I'm damn desperate. Apparently, they only sell them in stores in the UK, Australia, and Mexico. Any of you guys live in one of those places and want to trade me some Wai Lana awesomeness for some sP/csc/MONEY?! Am I even allowed to ask that? I don't know, but I need my crack chiiiiiips.

[edit] Found some at WALGREENS of all places. On their website only. May have caved and ordered...umm...a dozen bags so I could get free shipping. Not saying how much I spent. ^^;;;

[edit] DAMN STUPID WALGREENS SENT ME THE WRONG CHIPS. I was SO excited to see the box on my porch and then I opened it, fully intending to plop down right there and eat a bag, and IT WAS THE WRONG ONES. UGGGGHHHHH. So I called customer service and they are sending me a new box. While letting me keep the wrong ones. The girl on the phone said to 'just discard them'. So I'm debating whether to return them to Walgreens (because the receipt says I can?!) or just give them to my coworkers.

I miss a specific mac and cheese a local restaurant made. It had a distinct flavor profile and texture and mac and cheese isn't the same since I've tried it. D: Too bad I'm no longer in the country let alone the same city ffffffffs. /cries

Also, this is probably nostalgia speaking, but I miss the pizza lunchable. D: Was so horrible but so distinct, especially that pizza sauce haha.

Happens to my best friend too. She LOVED the kiwi cherimoya flavor of Sobe's Lifewater and now we can't find it anywhere.

When I lived in Italy there were so many foods I loved, but when I moved back to the UK I couldn't get them, except if I order online which is kinda expensive and delivery is super extortionate :O

Also they stopped making my favourite cookies in shops here like 3 years ago and I'm still mad about it :/

THIS POST IS LITERALLY MY LIFE

Me and my boyfriend were OBSESSED with the Dorito's Spicy Sweet Chili flavor, in the purple bag. I was kind of still kind of new to them, and by the time I was in love... they discontinued them because I believe the reason was because the owner died? I don't know why they would pull away money like that, but who knows. I loved dipping them in plain sour cream, ugh. Now the only way you can get them (and there the small bags with like 5 chips in them) in those party size bags with different flavors, you know? Or you can order them online for like a lot of money.

AND

There's these popped chips. I don't know who makes them but it's like a barbecue flavor, but it's different. I don't know how to explain it. The first time I've ever got them were from my school's little cafe, and me and my boyfriend ate them all and they won't restock them... and they're impossible to find it stores.

Like why do companies do this to us?

I can't find the Lays Tzatziki chips anywhere again and I love those things.

My mom was obsessed with these Russel Stover chocolate cream bunnies that they stopped carrying in most retail stores. She ended up contacting someone in the company who let her directly order display cases of them, so like 30 bunnies per case. The last few Easters I was at home, there would always be 3-4 cases of bunnies in her closet. I miss those bunnies.

Okay but let me remind you of these.

Gone. But my mouth never forgets. Ah the tiny goodness of a Hershey's Kiss, layered in a thicker than an M&M candy coating shell, and without any ugly ass brown ones! Ah, so good, so crunchy. Alas. The time we spent together was far too short.

No let's get rid of simple strong flavors, flavors that make your breath smell nice and feel good. Flavors that the tic tac feels good in your mouth, not like a tiny sponge (I'm looking at you every single fruit flavor ever, you fucking gross shitass things)

and last, for me, but most certainly not least....The long forgotten and much beloved by 11 year old me. I spent may many allowances on these when my mom would let me go to the drugstore that had them, or with my dad when he'd go.

You know what? I still miss a marshmallow cereal bar, a chocolate bar and some fluffy cookies things with chocolate coating and nougat (?) filling. All three have been discountinued about 20 years ago.

I managed to discover the most amazing snacking foods at Aldi's. which were then discontinued like 2 months later. they were these (super cheap too, like 90cents for a good size bag) 'churros' in a big red chip bag. basically a 10x better version of the taco bell cinnamon twists but yeah.

also, CLODHOPPERS (????? i think??? that was the name???) they were these grahm cracker pellets covered in chocolate and the most amazing things everrrrr. and they dont exist anymore. i think the recepie/copyright/whatever got bought out by some other company and then they decided to not make them but keep the rights to it? or something? idk it's late and i cant be bothered to look it up. but seriously.

OH MAN. this is bringing up so deeply buried feelings. I will forever miss Pepsi Blue. I don't even like regular Pepsi but Pepsi Blue was a beautifully engineered soft drink that I miss dearly.

This is how I feel about Banana Bread Eggo waffles, the only flavor my whole family could get behind.

When I was young, my grandmother would buy me what I called "rainbow bread"--it was regular bread but iwth a purple base, with a bright green/pink/yellow swirl in the loaf. That was my shit. I got psyched for that bread.

...And then one summer I came to stay with her like usual, and she told me they stopped making it. My 6-year-old heart was forever broken. Setting the stage, Shop Rite.

Otherwise, chips I've fallen in love with are Salsa Doritos (ate them all the time when I lived in the Netherlands) and Camponesa Lays (Portugal, means "peasant", i don't know but it was really. good. Pepper/paprika and onion and I think something else for flavor.)

You should check out the reddit snackexchange (If Walgreens ever stops selling them). :D You get what you want from the country you're exchanging with, and they get some cool snacks from the U.S.! But I'm fairly certain you can specify what you want, plus you get to make someone else's day as well c:

One of my co-workers got me hooked on Dill Pickle Doritos. They are so amazing, but they're hard to find. I shouldn't be eating chips anyway, but when I see them, I buy two bags and they're gone in two days o.O

I never even knew Pepsi made that. I love the Mountain Dew flavours (Red and Blue are my fave, but they're so hard to get now).
