So i zapped a pet that was already and experiment. and then i zapped him again using the experiment tic box (again paying 15 wizard coins and 400,000 sP later and he became the same experiment? is that normal? like can you only change experiments if its a normal species first? I'm new and just started zapping so sorry if this is a dumb question.

That's normal. You can get any experiment pet while using the experiment pet zapper option, and the zapper can't tell or avoid your current pet's experiment species. So it's just bad luck unfortunately. And yes, your pet can definitely change from one experiment to another, and doesn't need to start out as a normal species.

Totally normal. When I was using the experiment-only option on Hollows, I sometimes got the exact same species two or more times in a row. It's pretty frustrating, but it's just bad luck.
