I noticed that out of the 70 pets (Not including experiments) available on the site, only 35 of them actually have Subetapedia pages. At first I thought perhaps you had just stopped making them entirely but you have a page for some of the more recently discovered creatures.

All of the pets that DON'T have pages up on the site are the following

Aeanoid Antlephore Archan Bhakoru Bovyne Bumbus Cadogre Celinox Chai Devonti Dillema Endeavor Harvester Hikei Hipottu Irion Kanis Lasirus Magnus Mahar Mallarchy Malticorn Mortiking Ontra Paralix Pherret Priggle Ruffie Serpenth Terracoon Torrey Tutani Velosotor Warador Xotl

Unless I'm just missing them and these pages are somewhere else for whatever reason. I like being able to go onto the subetapedia and figuring out what my pet might be like, be it for roleplay purposes or whatnot. I think it would be nice to have a completed subetapedia, or at least to have all of the known pets.

Literally half of them are missing...

The Subetapedia is a work in progress. Every so often, an entry for a missing pet is added, but that takes time. Along with the entry into the Subetapedia, a lifelike doll set is made for the pet too.

I suppose that's nice and all, but I mean, the Zentu page is already up and running with more information on them than some of the other pets. And the subetapedia isn't exactly new. If the time can be taken to add in a brand new pet, then why can't it be taken to add old pets that have been here for so much longer?

How old is the Kanis? The Terracoon? The Devonti? If you have the time to focus on something brand new, the things that have been here longer should really be focused on instead, seeing as how it's just lazy to put it off for this long.

It makes sense if a new pet comes out that everything relating to it gets done fairly quickly, including the Subetapedia article. That's when the pet has the most hype surrounding it.

With the plot happening and with the holiday season approaching, I'm sure a lot of the creative department has been busy with those instead of Subetapedia articles. The article releases are nice when there's a bit of downtime in between holidays though. I don't expect them all to be released one right after another though.

It's been years. They could have gotten them ALL done a VERY long time ago. And if we're going with that logic, why didn't they do that for the Xotl, then?

There's a concept in the workforce, it's called "Fifo". First in, first out. And if they aren't going to update the subetapedia on the VERY old things that should have been put in a long time ago, but they put in the shiny new things, then why have the subetapedia in the first place?

You don't publish an encyclopedia with half of the information, you give ALL of the information you have and then add on when something new is found.

I won't cut any slack, cause it's been years, there really isn't an excuse for this.

They started this project in September 2014, so roughly two years (news post here)

I don't necessarily think the subetapedia needs to be something that gets finished right away though. Sure it's nice when a new article is published, but it isn't something I can't live without. I'd rather see a variety of new things than all of the articles get released right away.

It's been 2 years since we released the Subetapedia. We get around 1 article done per month - sometimes more, sometimes less. We have one writer who works on them, and she is also in charge of accepting CWs. Subeta is not her main job. She cannot work any faster than she has done and at this point we are not able to hire anybody else.

I do not agree that we should wait until everything is done before releasing anything. I enjoy the talks and user input and ideas that make their way into our site as we do things a bit at a time. For example - we released Aqua pets, and users loved the tea green accent more than I'd expected. And so we added more tea green to the future aqua pets.

Adding articles a bit at a time gives us content to release and keeps people talking and going back to the Subetapedia. Releasing 70 pets at once would have been overwhelming - many people wouldn't have read all of that. But people are much more likely to read information given to them in smaller segments. We also get the chance to release lifelike dolls a bit at a time, and again, give users something new to look at and collect every month rather than announcing one huge new collection and putting out every item possible for it in one go (which, by the way, would be a dreadful strain on our item admins to do)

We'll get there with the Subetapedia. It's not something I want to rush. We have talks about what the pets are like, and some are more obvious to us than others. Some work better to be released at certain times of year. Some are waiting for revamps to go through.

That makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for addressing this.
