Just fyi, time actually has nothing to do with burning an item at Fantine's. It's just bad luck. :c

I know, just like I know pressing the pedestrian walk button doesn't work 99% of the time. I still do it, just in case it does, though.

Yeah, probably a good idea to sit around until I can restock items from the shops, instead of buying them for ~50k apiece.

Sorry to hear that! I only learned recently that it's completely random when things burn - I thought I was doing something wrong or mistiming it and couldn't figure it out. Still only level 2 because the whole thing still feels like a chore to me.

Be warned: it's expensive. Pretty much a money sink that usually gives out items, but I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to just buy the baked goods.

Although now, I'm slowly restocking ingredients from the shops so it'll cost less. It's a lot more time consuming, though.

That's rotten luck. I had the same thing happen a while ago and I actually ragequit baking for a bit. I recently went back to it and my last 4 cakes all turned out. Fingers crossed for good luck in your future baking attempts!

Well I'm planning on making cookies tomorrow. I'd be more than a little concerned if they came out as burnt cakes.

Didn't know it was just pure chance and had nothing to do with time. I've been baking actual puddings and brownies while I play on here so the timer will go off at the same time and remind me to check it. A lot of wasted effort apparently. XD
