I started noticing this several days ago when our team forum group was changed to approval only. Whenever I try to approve a new member, the site hangs for 45+ seconds and I can't get any pages to load until it's finished. Sometimes it ends in a 504 error. I don't think this is related to the rest of the event-related lag though. This happens even late at night on trail days, when the site is most stable and these are the only errors I get.

It seems to be loading the "all members" page that actually causes the errors. If I start loading it and immediately try to open the site in another tab, I get 502s and 504s right away. I guess the site can't handle serving up a list of ~600 group members and all their info?
