One of the things I'm really enjoying about the current plot is speaking to the NPCs at the camp and learning more about them. I love how Subeta's characters have developed over time, and the last few days have been very interesting.

Speaking to Matlal at the camp today is easily one of my favourite plot moments. I always liked him, but now I've gotta say he's become one of my favourite Subeta characters. >w<

I can't wait to see what else this and future plots have in store for NPC development!

Matlal and Kahaleitzli are both nice. But I believe they are just common people with their own good points and less good points.

Agreed! I love the way the conversations are written, and the character development is gorgeous! (Still, I'm waiting for Saggi to brag about himself! :3)

The mention of Amy still made me want to sit down and weep ... and Matlal, oh Matlal~ Somehow I always thought he'd be creepy and evil-minded, but look at him, precious cinnamon roll ;^;

I hope Saggi will do something you will never expect by the type he is.

So is the voice just to put on a show for tourists, or does he do that around the other islanders too? And if so, why? Surely they know that he was studying in Centropolis

What I got from it is that part of his excuse for staying on the island now instead of going back to school or whatever is that he's kind of descended into madness. Really he hasn't, but he keeps the act up as part of the excuse to stay and help his brother (except they don't know that he's helping him).

So I'm assuming he acts that way to everyone, although maybe something will happen during this plot and he won't have to do that anymore. We'll see I guess ~

Can I just say, that I LOVE Matlal even more now. Not only is he the best brother, and super smart and sweet but... all the dick jokes. Like, before we were all just 'Oh Matlal, you crazy dude.' But he is freaking educated. He KNOWS he is making those jokes. And people let it slide since they think he is crazy now, but he TOTALLY must be laughing his ass off when people aren't looking. Like 'AHAHA, I just got away with ANOTHER dick joke. PFFFT.'

Totally agree! The plots interest me purely because of the NPCs and I'm basically only active during events and holidays. The lore behind this website is definitely my taste and I'm glad I've stuck with it for so long.

On one hand, I love where this plot is going.

On the other hand, I actually will miss having an actively antagonistic NPC who told me that I'm a filthy pigdog, that the Baron with gnaw my fingers and why don't I get lost and lick some Xotls.

Man. That Matlal stuff just floored me. Who even knew? It really makes me wish the story aspect was stronger and more central in this event; it seems to be taking a back seat to all the days upon days of repetitive tasks.

Yeah, I really love the character development for Matlal! I didn't see it coming at all. His character just became a lot more interesting to me :D Can't wait to see what else comes of this event! I've always loved the Omen Islands so I'm hyped to see what's in store for us o

Oh my god, I really love hearing about Matlal and now Kahaleitzli! These two brothers are too precious! I can't have anything happening to them :( I'm very worried about this year's blood sacrifice...

Mind that Keel Hauliday needed the Omen Islands as well. I'll continue being worried for the islanders, the potential volunteer and/or victim for the blood sacrifice and like, Subeta in general, until we know where Merana is! :o 😄
