It's time for another Hogwarts Founder to get the spotlight: the founder of my own house, Helga Hufflepuff! Helga Hufflepuff was known to be a very compassionate woman, and one of her most notable contributions to the school was the starting a program to employ house-elves. She did this to give house-elves a safe, peaceful place to work. Our house-elves are very proud of working here at the castle, and it's all thanks to Helga Hufflepuff!
With that in mind, today I have a Word Shuffle challenge for you!
For this game, you will be given a word. Your task is to create up to 10 words using the letters of the given word. The 10 words do not need to be the same length as the given word. They should be a minimum of 4 letters in length. The maximum would be however many letters are in the given word. You may only use each letter once, unless the letter appears more than once in the word (i.e. for the word Gryffindor, you may use F twice since it appears in the word twice, but only use I once since it appears in the word once).
For example: If the given word is Hogwarts, some of the words you could create would be: what, gash, worth, growth.
All answers should be sMailed to Mary.
Each word that successfully uses the letters of the given word will be awarded 1 point each for a maximum of 10 House Points. However, for bonus points, if you fulfill the bonus requirements, you will earn an extra 5 points.
This week's word: HOUSE-ELVES (You are allowed to use the hyphen, but it will not count as a letter.)
Bonus Requirements To earn 5 bonus points, you must create the following:
- FOUR (4) words that contain 4 letters
- THREE (3) words that contain 5 letters
- TWO (2) words that contain 6 letters
- ONE (1) word that contains 7 letters
This challenge will end on Wednesday, September 14th at 11:59PM.
I got a question just to be sure: I use the word given to create as many words as I can with it but every word I create can only use once each letter on the word? Because I first thought I have to make several words using each letter once but that won't make many words.
Question: For the bonus requirements do we include those in the 10 words that we make? Or ten words plus five more words that fulfill the bonuses? Sorry for the confusion 😅

It only has to be 10 total, but if you want bonus points those 10 words have to fit the requirements. You can do more than 10 if you want.
Correct! So like if the word had been HUFFLEPUFF, you could make the word PUFF, but couldn't make the word HEEL because there is only one E. But even if you make PUFF, you can use the P again in the next word to make HELP, etc. I hope this helps!
