I've been on this site for a while -- at least five years, I just found out! And I'm still here enough to enjoy it. Bless. My previous usernames were Keyial and Typical. I put these here because they're important.

In 2013, presumably when I was Typical, I was sent an anonymous gift box out of the blue. It came attached with a minion -- -- and the message attached was song lyrics from Something Corporate - I Woke Up In A Car, followed by "I will love you through song lyrics".

It was surprising, sweet, and a really happy memory for me, because that was a bad time all around and I had few enough positive interactions with people as it was. That alone was enough to get me through some things and become a better person. I'd been on and off Subeta since then, but mostly off. I started getting more active and back into things in 2015 when a one-time event became a definite series.

I received an anonymous gift box with a minion and song lyrics.

This time the minion was , and the lyrics were from Matthew Koma - Parachute, and it ended with a little heart! A few differences, and something that seems incredible, but I was instantly struck with the belief that my mystery friend had remembered me, and had given me another gift even these two years later. I felt a little like I had a guardian angel.

A little over a year ago I changed my username to Cybertron, and a bit into that I realized that if my mystery friend really were out there, they might not recognize me anymore. For a while I had accepted that, but now I'm wanting to, at the very least, thank them for their kindness, and let them know that I remembered them, too. If you're out there, and you're seeing this, mystery friend, you don't have to reveal your identity if you don't want to. Just know that you made an impact in my life and I think you're a good person, and I'd like to thank you for helping me in the smallest way during a difficult time. Thank you so much.

I remember seeing you around as Typical! I used to be Cariad, now Tod - I was inactive for about 2 years, but now I'm back I don't want to leave again!

I've posted on a couple of threads here and there reintroducing myself, and I've received 4 lovely packages welcoming me back, with some beautiful wishlist items in them - all anonymous, but super sweet! So I can relate to your story somewhat, though I'm not sure they're all from the same person on my end :P

hehe! it always surprises me how much people around here remember! it's such a closer community than anywhere else. And the generosity! Oh goodness, try to get some sleep if you can. It's good for you!

I tend to remember users and such as soon as I see them posting - mostly those that commission art/profiles/pet overlays and so on, but there's a lot of people I simply remember seeing around from the old days :P

I definitely agree about the community - even if it's a bit quieter around here, nothing has changed in terms of people being friendly/welcoming/all the good stuff ❤️ It really makes me happy to be back, to find nothing much has changed!

I've had a few hours of sleep now, but still working on that ... Insomnia is fairly kicking my ass these last few weeks 😬😬

Aw, this is such a sweet story. Everyone here is so nice. I only joined a couple weeks ago but after making a post on the newbie board I got so many presents I didn't know what to do. lol.
