How long does a user need to be frozen in order for you to take their username? If it says the account will be eligible for clearing on a certain date, is that also the date their username will be available again?

And how about inactive accounts? when will those usernames become available?

I've been looking all over for this information but I can't seem to find it....

Yes, the date that it says it's eligible for clearing is the day the username and pet names become available. It's the same for both frozen and inactive users

Thank you! That's the information I'm looking for... I guess this means I have to wait another few months to get either my old username or a name I've been eyeing...

To answer the original question, I believe it's 1 year (12 months) of being frozen or inactive until the account becomes eligible for clearing.

Just a note, but if you do a search, there's usually a timer that'll show you how long it is before the name clears.

Note that though it'll show you an exact day and time, sometimes inactive accounts have cleared a day early though.
