What are some ways to attract people to shop at your shop?

unless you're selling particularly rare or expensive items, you don't really need to advertise your shop. just keep your items priced at or below the lowest shop search price and they will be purchased in due time. if you're ever selling more expensive (about 5 million sP and up) things, or anything very desirable but hard to get, you could make a thread in the advertising subforum letting people know what you have and if you're giving any special deals (i.e. 10% off items over 1 million sP, 20% off items over 5 mil, whatever you feel like). but again, with just normal cheapish items, you don't really have to worry about advertising. unlike neopets, all shops appear in the shop search so you don't have to worry about being overlooked as long as your items are the cheapest on the list.

What Frenchi said. Also, the autopricing function helps a lot with this, which is one of two main reasons I have a gold account. It makes pricing super easy and fast, no advertising necessary.
