Ok, so we're debating between an 80s or 90s theme, but I can't decide! I love both so much lol. I thought about combining theme, but I thought that might be too much. I know my theme ideas may sound tacky, but I'm trying to think of ways to keep it classy at the same time... If that makes sense.

Other than trying to think of a theme, I really have no idea on how to start planning. Any advice?... I don't know where to start

Thank you ahead of time for reading this, and any advice. I really appreciate it.

For me, it would depend. Will the dresses and suits be geared toward the theme as well? Hair and makeup too.

For an 80s or 90s themed wedding I would suggest picking a steady from the era to go off, Such as glam rock or grunge respectively. if you're looking for cheap items for decor and such I know you can raid dollar stores for cheesy 90s esque stuff usuaully lol. theres also wish . com and wedding planning blogs!

--[Dance=ona660]--[TOT=Ona660] I can bite for: Baker's Kiss(proudly), Bright Bite, Bubble Jelly, Butterfly Bruise, Carchari, Catterkiller, Dolly Dreadful, Fevermore(!), Freckle Fever, Lobster Face, Lovebug, and Pinkie patch.

I picked up a wedding planner book at Wal*Mart (or a store like it) and it has everything that you can possibly need to plan your wedding. My wedding was Legend of Zelda themed and it only cost me $1,000. My dress was given to me and my husband bought his tux at a local thrift shop. All of our decorations were bought at dollar stores. It was very nice. Even though it wasn't up to my expectation, I wasn't gonna be a bridezilla and be unhappy. A wedding should be the happiest day of your life. It doesn't matter about the decorations and such, just share your special day with your fiance, family and friends. =D

I myself have been to a grunge themed wedding that was pretty awesome. The beauty of it was that if something wasn't perfect, it fit the aesthetic better.

Do you mean for the ceremony itself, or for the reception? How long have you been engaged, when is your wedding date, and what aspects of the 80s/90s do you enjoy? Is it the generic movie ideals of those times? Did you live in them? If so, what were your favorite bits? Was it the fashion, the music, the toys? What about it is nostalgic for you? Also, just my two cents, but do not combine the themes. Your guests are going to be wondering what the heck is going on.

Also, congratulations! I just got married on August 21st.

I'd almost want to do a 80's theme party just to ban all smartphones.
