I just used a potion on my active pet, Axolittle but in my side bar where I have the Active Pet widget placed, he is still showing up normal. Does this ever change?
Also, how does one go about leveling up and adding to their pets strength (for the Job Agency)?
The cache always take a little bit to update. ^__^
You can start training your pet here: https://subeta.net/explore/train.php
Once your pet is a little stronger, you can start battling. If you win, you win experience alongside items and a little sP. With experience you can buy more stats here: https://subeta.net/games/battle/exp.php
For jobs you'll also going to need intelligence, you can get those from reading books to your pet or a few stat boosters that boost intelligence as well. You can find all stat boosters here: Stat Booster List v2.0
So training your pet adds strength and levels? I am a former Neopian so the books weren't too hard to figure out.
You can train level, strength, defense, health and speed at the training center. Opposite to Neopets, speed here actually matters for critical hits and whether your opponent makes them (whoever is faster can crit iirc). Also you can train x2.5 your level. So when you are level 10 you can train until 25 strength/defense/health/speed until you have to train level again.
it is possible you also fed the potion to your pet instead of used the potion on your pet. The way to find this out ahead of the time the cache delay is to go to your petpage by going to Pets and then clicking the dropdown in the right corner of the pet.
Critical hits are possible even if your speed is lower than the speed of your challenger, but having more speed is better. Speed also helps you activate blessings and curses your weaponry may have, and helps you activate modification crystals that do the same thing.
In Subeta you are only prevented from training those stats which are higher than 2.5 times your level. All other stats you can still train. This you could not do that at that other more inferior virtual petsite.
- I could see that he was changed on his page just not in my sidebar, it's resolved itself now.
I am only training for the job agency right now (one step at a time, I only joined yesterday) but I will be trying to keep things as even as possible. It's just not something I can drop after all the years I spent over yonder. Thank you for your help!
it's best to train all other stats as much as possible before training level, because training costs and times are dependent on level.
you are welcome, and welcome to Subeta! Many users here do not fight at all.
this is interesting to me. Do you know if some challengers are resistant to but not proof against certain mods?
Also I don't think potions have feed options. I don't specifically have a Glacier Potion to check but I just checked 7 other colors, some older and some very recent and none have feed options (the one elixir I happened to have in my inventory atm didn't either, for what it's worth).
- I am not being allowed to train anything BUT level right now, so I don't have much of a choice but I'll keep that in mind, thank you!
I'm pleased that they no longer do, but I know I blew 4MsP with a Dark Matter Potion on one of my pets way back when I was new, and I also blew a few hundred thousand using another color potion in battle (that did nothing). I have seen similar complaints here in Help & Questions since. But not any time recently.
Pink kitty is partially resistent to freezing but for blessings I donmt think so. Mods have a fixed % on the proc when you equip them. Certain blessings though are speed dependent but none of those are from mods as far as I know
yep, you have to train up level a bit to start with but once you hit level 5 you can start training everything else. as said, all stats can be trained to 2.5 times level, so for example if your pet is level 10 all other stats can be trained to 25 (well, sometimes it'll go over because stats can increase by 1-3 points when you train) before you have to raise level again.
