How come the achievement was retired?
I had been working very hard to collect everything.
Shops and galleries were moved over to a new system with limits on how many items they can hold now so it's just not possible to get the achievements anymore.
The old shops in general, but especially overly large shops were hell on the servers so they had to be limited.
Aww ok :( I just used this site for my hoarder tendencies so I didnt do it in real life
I believe vaults still have unlimited storing capacity, so you don't necessarily have to get rid of all your stuff if you don't want to. You just can't get the achievements anymore.
Thank you didnt realize that!
I was wondering too about that achievement. Thank you for clearing that up. :)

Yeah, it was a pretty sick move. Put up an achievement that takes years to complete, let people work on it for a long time, and then take it away before they finish and force them to move all their items if they want to sell them off. .
Maybe in the future the achievement can be reintroduced for the vaults. That would be awesome for those who were not able to get it before it was removed.

This would be an awesome achievement to bring back
It's not like they planned this. Staff didn't realize the achievement would be such a bad strain on the servers until it was too late (and shops themselves were straining the server, it wasn't just the achievements).
[sigh I posted just so I could enter the raffle, and I knew someone was going to take exception to it.]
: Yes, I've heard that excuse plenty of times, and I don't want to rehash that debate. There are ways they could have recoded the shops without placing limits on their size or eliminating achievements but still reducing demand on the server. I have enough work experience in this area to confidently state they could have had a win-win solution had they been interested in pursuing one.
The fact that there are ways to fix the problem differently doesn't mean the staff is capable of coding them. That aside, there's no reason imo to have 45k items in a single shop and I haven't heard a single argument for that other than "oh no my achievement"
But I apologize, I was only trying to clarify but apparently you only posted to be argumentative ;)
