Hey everyone! I was just curious... who's starting school soon?! or started already.

I'm starting on the 22nd of August, and I'll be taking 5 classes at my town's community college.

I'm moving back into the dorms on August 28th, classes start on the 29th. Starting my junior year, and taking five classes. I really can't wait to go back, mainly because I miss my friends lol. What are you studying?

that's awesome! i've never lived on campus, so that must be nice. i'm currently studying in criminal justice, hoping to become a lawyer in the future. what about you? (:

It is, for the most part. It's nice to be able to attend the campus events and always have my friends nearby, plus my roommates have all been great. The annoying part is having to deal with drunk people or having to deal with loud music, but it's bearable. Gives me stories to tell!

That's cool, I'm studying forensic science and minoring in criminal justice, I'm hoping to do DNA analysis. :)

Starting Monday too for my second year. I'm taking about 4 classes but it ends up with 6 a week.

you'll totally have to tell me some stories sometime. and that's awesome! i'm getting my associates currently in criminal justice, because I plan to become a lawyer. and then major in that again or psychology for my bachelor's! i heard law school will accept any major. i just hope that's true, lol.

Social work. I tried a lot of things but nothing stuck to me. I'm not moving anymore tho, I've lost enough time n__n Kinda meh about going back but that's because I've found myself in a difficult situation with the class credit office of my college.

oh yeah, i think we talked about it before on another board perhaps? unless i'm just crazy, lol. but that's super cool. i think i might take some social work classes for electives, just because i think it's really good knowledge to know on the daily, you know?

I cannot remember. I've salted too much to even know when/how I may have talked about it. But tldr; didn't get credited for a class that was credited to half my class just because I happened to be "the 8th after their new rule was applied". Either way, I'm salty af ha ha. It's a good idea, especially for your field. It may help you in your work, especially if you want to do some pro bono, contract with low-income families etc.

haha, i'm the same way. i tell everyone something, and i forgot who i told, lol. are you kidding me? what was the new rule? to screw you over? -.- i hope that doesn't happen to me. and yeah, exactly!

I would not even wish the bullshit I went through to my worst enemy. Last May (even before but they shut me down) I went to get the paperwork down + met with the lady that shuffles all the stuff to get the credit. She told me I'd need to wait 2 weeks to get an answer. By then, she changed the deadline to end of June. In July, everyone is on vacation. I called back and literally harassed the office and the same woman to get an answer. I finally talked with her and she told me that my case was forwarded to another person (and they never contacted me). I finally reached my student body director and he said he'd call me back ... which he didn't (and I pay for that LOL). So tldr, I didn't get credited while 7 girls in my class were given the credits. I need to take that class this semester with the exact same teacher. Oh joy.

I lowkey want to egg their entire bureau but the security would escort me out lmaoo.

For what it's worth, my forensics advisor, who also has a law degree, has told us that law school does take any major, just in case any of us were interested in law school. So I think you're good.

Oh don't worry, I have plenty of them to tell. For example, last semester I lived in a suite. Got along with most of my suite mates, except for the girl who lived next to me. She and her girlfriend were always arguing, and the arguments always got physical. They broke a mug, a mirror that was hanging on their door, and the girlfriend went and slammed one of the bathroom doors hard enough to put a hole in the wall. We tried talking to her about it, to no avail. She got snippy with us and made fun of us for being concerned. The kicker: campus security knew who the girlfriend was, and they were scared of her. We just stuck it out for the semester.

that is so stupid, what even. i heard that's happened before at my school, i just hope i'm not the unlucky one that it happens too ):

Tell me about it! Thankfully, most of the people I've met are a lot nicer and saner than that. That was the most extreme story I have at least. Just glad I don't have to deal with them this semester.

So today was my second day, and I've been to all my classes. First I have MAT092 (Intro to Algebra), AJS101 (Into to Criminal Justice), CIS105 (Computer Information System), ENG102, PHI101 (Into to Philosophy). Probably one of my favorite classes SO FAR is Philosophy. Number one because it seems so interesting already, and my professor is so sexy, oh my god...

That was the most extreme story I have, the rest of them are far tamer and funnier. I have a great group of friends and we have plenty of awesome times between us! ?

Sounds interesting, I took intro to criminal justice last year, I enjoyed it, and I hope you do too. Haha, your philosophy class sounds like fun, it's always better when you have a good looking professor. This semester I'm taking cell biology, physics I, biochemistry I, forensic psychology, and terrorism.

so far, i'm really liking it! lots of essays to write, but i enjoy writing! my professor reminds me of the brother in law of walter white from breaking bad. if you don't know who he is, just google him and get an idea xD they're literally IDENTICAL.

and oh wow, lots of good classes! nothing my mind can do though, lol.

That is awesome! Enjoy your philosophy class. How was your first week of classes? Sorry for the late reply, tomorrow is move-in day, so busy spending time with family, packing, and making sure everything is ready for the big day. I can't wait!
