This is a little bit frustrating -- today when I visited the loyalty shop I realized my points total looked a bit low, given yesterday's CSC purchase. I visited the card, and was awarded those points. I didn't realize this before, and I don't think we can visit previous cards -- how many loyalty points have I missed out on because I didn't visit the card after making a CSC purchase? Can this system be changed, please? Why aren't the points just automatically awarded?

Technically, you get stamps for buying csc, not loyalty points. Csc gets you stamps, stamps get you loyalty points. I don't think it needs to be changed, it's clear enough.

It even says so on the event (when you buy csc) to check the reward card: Your CSC purchase has been processed. Your account has been credited xxx CSC. Make sure to check your reward card!

And it also says it on the Loyalty Shop page: You earn loyalty points by earning stamps on your reward card!

Frankly I think if I'm getting some kind of bonus points for spending real money on the site, they shouldn't disappear on me. As it stands, I can't check old reward cards to claim points I may have missed.

Wow, I'm glad this came up.

I also haven't been visiting after every purchase.

Will be doing so now.

If you're spending actual money on the site you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get what they told you you'll be given.

Wouldn't mind this being changed to automatic payout so people don't miss out on points, or an automatic redirect from the CSC buying page to the reward card page.

Yeah, either a redirect or a message on whatever page after you buy CSC telling you to check out your loyalty card or something. Automatic payout would still be nice, but a link might be good too just so people can see how far along they are with their stamps.

The event you get when your CSC purchase goes through has a link to the loyalty card. However, it'd still be a lot more convenient if the points were just given to us now that there's a prize shop instead of having to check our card to see what prize(s) we unlocked.

I wouldn't be okay with a redirect- I've had it take half an hour for the CSC to get approved and put in my account, having it redirect when I buy would do nothing, and having it redirect when the CSC approves would be uninvited page changes.

I think they should be awarded automatically when a purchase processes. The "check your card" made perfect sense when you were given prizes for filling stamps on the card - but now that you're awarded points to use in the shop, they should just be added to your currency.

I always check my card, but a lot of people delete the event once they get their CSC and may forget to go "redeem" their stamps/points.

Because subscriptions count but sometimes I forget to check my card after the subscription bills.

Maybe staff should put the 'make sure to check your reward card' in bold.

No objections to that, anything to make it clearer for people!

I do see how that would be convenient, but wouldn't that cause problems too? You don't get points for every purchase now, you get points for every 10$ spent. They would have to rethink the entire awarding system. Like if you spend 5$ today, and 5$ tomorrow, your reward card will keep track, and award you the 10$ mark tomorrow. If you get awarded the points automatically without card, and they keep the 10$ mark, you wouldn't get any points for 2 different 5$ purchases? Or am I overthinking this?

Are the points tied to specific cards? If they are, they shouldn't be. that way even if you forget to check, the next time you check it should retroactively award any points you may have available.

I wouldn't think it would be set up to take away points from two separate $5 purchases. I don't think it would need to be like that, but it depends how it would get coded

At the very least, 's idea if it is tied to specific cards right now makes the most sense

They just need to take the check they already do on the reward card page, but run it on the purchase page instead. It shouldn't take any real effort to change.

It would be nice if staff could explain if there is a reason this has to be set up this way. :/
