So, I was mulling over my options for getting CSC, and noticed the message "For now, you can also continue to pay with Stripe. Soon, though, we will be replacing Stripe subscriptions with Braintree, at which point the only Stripe option will be to cancel an existing subscription!"

My question is, how long will it be before the subscriptions are replaced with Braintree, and will they still work the same under the new system?

That notice has been up for a really long time, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. As far as I know there's still not a way to get Braintree to actually save your card information when you want it to so until that's fixed I don't think they can replace Stripe because subscriptions wouldn't work.

, thanks for the info! Sorry it's taken so long to reply; my laptop is currently on the fritz and posting on the forums on my phone is a major pain in the ass. Now I know I can set up a subscription the next time I get paid, without worrying about the option being unavailable.

No worries :P But yeah, I would think once they finally are able to make that switch they would let us know, or at least let the subscription holders know because you'd probably have to go in and switch your information over for your subscription to keep going.
