I'd love to meet some other Star Trek nerds!! I'm obsessed with TOS in particular, although the reboots are pretty rad! I love the difference between TOS Spock and JJ Spock in particular... JJ Spock seems to be more emotional and in touch with his human side (as one tumblr user said, "he watched his mother die.. so he has a hole in his emotional armor you could fly a starship through")

I've seen every episode ever released (many twice) and every movie (two or more times). I binge watch TNG or TOS when I am board with life. lol :D My sister also loves star trek, as does my friend !

favorite characters: Seven of Nine, Bones, Data, Spock, Jadzia Dax, Jaylah, T'Pol, Doctor Julian Bashir, Worf, and Quark.

I love ST but I hate the reboot, lol, so I will only talk about the old timeline :p I grew up with the TOS movies and I think Spock has been one of my first crushes so the original series will always have a place in my heart but what really conquered me was TNG. It's hard to choose between that and DS9 so I won't xD Favourite characters: Picard, which will always be The Captain for me. And then, oh so many.. uhmm: Jadzia, Seven of 9, VOY Doctor, Data, Dukat and Q are probably the onesa I love the most

oh and Quark of course, how could I forget him! Favourite race is trill because of Jadzia , I still use my ST nick name Jaleen- Elox for pretty much everything xD ( Elo was the name of my first dog, so I made her my simbiont, lol) I also have a couple of ST pets but all the really good names were taken so not as many as I would like

Omg, Spock was my first crush, lol My favorite is still the original series, and then DS9. I loved what they managed to do with the space station. My favorites are Spock, Bones, Garek, Dukat, Jadzia and Worf and Sisko! Those last three are tied, lol. I loved the relationship Sisko and Jadzia had, it cracked me up. I loved the Romulans too, I always thought they never got enough attention.

My favourite series is Voyager (Picard's just a bit stuffy for me), but all of them (except DS9, the only one I haven't watched all the way through) have really had an impact on my life. I grew up on that shit. I'm actually planning on getting my Star Trek tattoo later this fall, it's been in the works for like eight years.

I think the reboots are amazing, and really do the franchise justice in an era where scifi usually has to contain ridiculous explosions and violence and other dystopian, over-the-top visuals to keep viewer attention. They contain these elements, to a degree — but at their core, they still keep to the spirit of the franchise. And I love that. I love how cerebral they managed to be.

All trek is good with me, though my favorite series is DS9 as I grow to understand it more and appreciate that hey, they actually have to deal with the consequences of their actions ^.^ Fav cast characters: Picard/Odo/Scotty/The Doctor/Archer/Bones Love some of the guests as well. Favorite episodes are many and I can dig almost all the movies except 5. For real something was terribly wrong with that one XD

I love everything related to ST except for the TOS reboot. My favorite series is DS9, my favorite charas Spock, Ben Sisko, O'Brien, B'Elanna, Tom Paris, Dax, Garak, Seven of Nine, Archer and Picard. There are also many great guest charas that I love, especially Koval and Eddington from DS9.

I think you nailed it.. the reboots totally keep the charm and message of Trek... I really loved beyond, out of the three I felt it did the most justice to the lore and characters. I also really loved Jaylah, how she was so tough but so sweet.

Random talking points:

~So, I snagged "Mr Spock" for a pet name, which I'm pretty stoked about. I still don't know what exactly to do with him. Not sure which species would be best. All I know is, once I'm done training Milkdrop, I'm going to beef up his intelligence. Duh XD

~DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THE TREK ITEM IN THE 2016 COLLECTION BAG? I freaked out, I totally bought two.

~I can't wait for the new series! I'm trying not to read too much about it, because I want to be surprised, but I'm hoping it will live up to the excitement.

Star Trek is life! I love TNG.

DUDE the third one was easily the best of the three. I loved it. Jaylah is a great example of a non-typical, non-sexualized strong female character who didn't end up having a romantic relationship with anyone. And I totally loved it. Not quite as much as Rey from the new Star Wars film (I typically hate Star Wars but The Force Awakens was a fantastic job well done), but comparable!

My boyfriend and I every once in a while talk about the differences between Star Trek and Star Wars, and it really makes me appreciate Star Trek all the more ❤️

I'm so excited for the new series! I just hope it doesn't have the same short life and poor public reception that Enterprise had D: Which was really unfair by the way. I don't get why everyone hates on Enterprise. It's a little more dystopian but it's a fresh take on the universe and they stay true to the idea of optimism for the human race.

Have always been a Star Trek fan, have watched every series and enjoyed them all. Yes I'm that old. :)

My favorite captain is Picard. I love Spock total first crush but tied with Picard. I also like Riker and Data and the JJ movies I love Spock and Kirk to me is more likable. Not that I don't like Shatner but his voice does bug me after a while.

Favorite series is still original and TNG. I'd love to find some Star Trek rp even.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Star Trek! I grew up watching re-runs of TOS with my dad. A local channel did frequent all-weekend marathons. I loved TNG and DS9 too, but TOS will always have the special place in my heart.

I do like the reboot movies. Love the first two, especially the second one. Even though I'm sorry, that's NOT Khan. I don't know why they didn't just make him one of the other genetically engineered sociopathic leaders that was asleep on the ship if they weren't even going to try to cast appropriately. Still. Loved it. I didn't really like the third one as well.

I'm starting to get cautiously excited about the new series now. Michelle Yeoh!!! Wow! And Nicholas Meyer is involved. Yay! Trying not to let my expectations get too high. But yeah. I'm getting excited!

I've only recently gotten into the Star Trek reboot, but I love it SO much and I've heard such great things about TOS that I'm getting ready to binge watch it on Netflix over the Christmas break. :D I'll have to stick around and get back to you on some of those questions once I have more of it under my belt. I love TNG! I was introduced in university (after thinking I hated Trek for years... haha!) and fell in love with TNG and then DS9 and I liked Voyager a lot too! Not crazy about the reboots. The first one was fun, but I agree with the people who say they're more action movies and less philosophical Trek, but that's suited more for the TV screen anyway. Hopefully the new series will stick to the TV Trek formula! I've always joked that it would be fun to have a show like DS90210, but that will probably never happen. ;) My favourite ST book is Starfleet Academy -- I like stories in the school setting!

VOY and Next Gen are my favourites <3 It's great meeting more ST fans! I really enjoy the JJ films, but there are bits that really bug me :c Simon Pegg is my favourite thing about the JJ films, Pegg is one of my favourite actors. I'm sorry I'm a little late to the discussion btw

My personal advice to and anyone here who loved the reboots and is wanting to get into the original stuff:

Do not start with TOS. Please at least start with TNG. The Original Series is good only because it's THE original series. That context aside? It's cheesy television, and to a modern audience who originally fell in love with the reboots it will probably fall short of expectations.

I gathered as much. It'll still be nice to see, though! I've been watching reruns of TNG here and there and I do quite enjoy it. :)

I was raised on Star Trek (and anything scifi really) My dad was/is a big fan. Our family just watched the series, we never indulged in full nerdom (collecting, cosplay, etc) My husband loves Star Trek too. So I'm doomed if I don't like it. ;) I recently binged all the series in the past year or so.

I really love the Enterprise (show) crew. Of course I've always had a crush on Spock. But I love Karl Urban in the new films as Bones :D

My favorite race is the Andorians <3 Especially Shran on Enterprise. ("pink skin" said with such disdain then affection lol)
