As the title stated though it may have sounded confusing, I enjoy using background items, so I experimented just now, first I picked a background and saved it. Then I tried to put clothing and accessories on top of it. Only problem IS my body and skin do not show up, ONLY THE ITEMS DO. I don't know how to fix this myself though I'm trying to learn on my own, so any help is greatly appreciated --thanks in advance.

You have to make sure that your background item is layered under the "base" layer of your avatar. (You can move the layers in the left column where the items show up that are currently on your avatar.)

it's a drag and drop system :) just click on the arrow-thingie and move the layer while holding the mousebutton!
