"Did you know that Professor Trelawney has been rubbing it in my face that they won again?!" she scoffs. "We gave them a run for their money last term, however. This time that cup will be ours!"

She looks around at the students and stops, realizing how she must look. She clears her throat and starts again.

"Welcome back, seasoned students, and welcome to our new faces as well. The common room's password this term is competition. You'd do best to remember it. As always, the girls' dormitory is upstairs, while the boys' dormitory is downstairs. The Houselves have bought down some tea, pumpkin juice, and butterbeer for you all for tonight. Enjoy!" she says, her mood lifting. She leaves the Common Room to allow the students to chat and let loose.

He didn't really bother to wait around to see who would claim the vacant bed closest to his. The break felt like forever and Eros was ready to get back out on the pitch. He was feeling out of practice. However, that was later. Right now, he just wanted to get reacquainted with the common room and read for a bit. It was never too early to get a head start on his studies. It was something he hope some of his other housemate would do considering they fell short last term of winning the House Cup. Unfortunate for the Slytherins, he was also a prefect this year.

The Aussie took a seat at one of the sofas, on the end closest to the fireplace. In his hand, he had a thick book with a shiny, golden leaf embroidered on the front of its green hardcover. The teen flipped open to the first page and began reading.

After Fable unpacked, she went out and pulled up a spot in the one of the aquatic window seats. She awaited . She had brought her tablet as they were planning on watching a horror movie on it and relaxing.

Garrett had gone to his dorm room to unpack. Yes, his things had been brought up, and Kiki's needs taken care of, but he adjusted things a bit until he was comfortable with their placement. After giving Kiki some treats and putting his things away, he walked out to the common room, his cat at his heels.

He saw by the windows, and smiled. He walked over and joined her on the window seat, Kiki settling in on his lap as usual. He was hoping for a horror movie tonight, and chances were good for one - Fable loved horror movies.

After a brief discussion, they decided on a creature movie called "Indigenous" -filled with partying teens, a wild jungle and a creature stalking and killing them. It looked to be a wonderful night in the making.

Ernessa snagged herself a bed by the window, she loved to look out into the murky lake and unpacked her things. He cat Lily made herself comfortable on a pile of clothes. Ernessa grabbed a book and made her way into the common room to find a comfy seat. 'Ooh butterbeer, yum' she said taking a glass with her to a particularly comfy looking seat by a window.

It had been a couple of very busy days for Garrett, and he was glad to get a chance to relax with again for some much needed down time...he settled in at their favorite window seat and petted Kiki, waiting for Fable. They had talked about starting to watch American Horror Story Freak Show tonight, and although he hadn't liked many of the previous AHS's, he was willing to give it a chance, because Fable wanted to see it. Any time spent alone with her was worth it.

Fable met up with he knew the issues she had been having and wanted to just get away from it all. She curled up to watch AHS with him. It would be her first one shed ever seen.

Merlin walks slowly past bedtime hours and sits in a corner to read. "Lumos"

"Hey Merlin? Do you have a minute?" Fable asked walking up to the prefect. "If your still having problems with that Neville Longbottom assignment, I asked a teacher and she said I could give you a hint."

OOC I did asked the lawmakers (hee hee) and they said I could give you a hint as long as its publicly somewhere...so let me know ok?)

"Oh, hello there!" Merlin shyly replies and gives an awkward smile. "Thanks for the offer, but in the end...I managed to finished the assignment." He smiles once more. "But I must admit it was the first time I had trouble finding an item, I felt so stupid. Thanks for asking."

Fable gives an awkward smile back. "No problem, I'm glad you found it...I know they can be tricky at times!" before hurrying back to her safe spot in the window seat she quickly mutters. "Oh...I also liked your charm...that you made...the umm pendant?...it was cool."

OOC glad you found it! I know they can sometimes be a pain...luckily I had seen it before :P

"Umm, thanks! I thought it was pretty ugly." He smiled before she left to seat by the window. He stare at her for a moment and then went back to his book while muttering to himself. "My social skills are still the worst."

OOC You are very lucky! I almost gave up.

Fable looked back at him and gave a small smile. "They aren't as bad as you think...and if it makes you feel any better about it...I do best with animals and plants." She allowed a full smile. "Thats probably why I do so well with !" She chuckled at her friend, meaning it in no way negatively.

OOC To be honest winks its because of my garden/flower pet Trellis. I had trouble with the bottle one...mostly I think because I was trying to figure out...why it was associated with him...then again and I have just started rewatching the movies for the first time in a few years. It used to be that they cycling through on repeat in this house! LOL...but you know...horror calls. LOL.

Garrett happened to see his beloved walking away from the Prefect, smiling. He looked suspiciously at the two of them, and tried to convince himself he was being paranoid. Garrett walked over to the window seat where Fable was waiting. Her eyes lit up when she saw him, and that washed away any last fears he may have had. He smiled back at her, and sat down next to her. It had been a long weekend, and he just wanted to spend some time relaxing with Fable.

Fable smiled when she saw . Hey! hows your homework coming? What did you think of that Boggart assignment? She saw a little worry in his eyes and smiled. "He had some trouble on that Neville Longbottom assignment...I asked a teacher and they said I could give him a hint." She looked down. "I really want to win the house cup this term..."

Garrett looked and said "The boggart assignment was just terrible ...I hate facing my fears in front of anyone." He pulled her onto his lap and snuggled in. " I just want to relax and forget about everything else for a little while..it's just you and me. We can worry about things later"

Fable smiles "I want to settle in and watch a movie I think...I agree on the Boggart assignment. I was sure it was going to be you or family hurt or dieing...but your quite a bit tougher so maybe Im not as worried about you? The dementer though.." her voice trails off and she shudders. " Its not so much that Im scared of the way they look...but rather the energies they bring ya know?"

"and the cold, don't forget about the cold they bring too. I don't like them, the idea of them, but everything feeds on something..." He sighed, closing his eyes and breathing in the smell of her hair. "a movie...? ok, that sounds nice..."

"stack of bunnies...just remember stack of bunnies." She smiles. "Doesn't it always? a movie I mean...OH OH!!" Fable gets up and runs back to her dorm. Moments later she returns with a package. "Look what I got!" She holds it up. "Magical "Microwave" popcorn...just tap with wand and..." she reads and then taps it...the bag instantly pops filling the common room with the smell of popcorn. "Yum.." Fable smiles.

Garrett smiled at , looking at the magical popcorn she had produced. He happily settled her on his lap, easily reaching around her to hold up his tablet so they both could see. "what do you think you want to watch..? How about The Mummy..? It's been awhile since I have seen it. " He honestly didn't care what they watched..he was just happy to have this short time together with her. Tomorrow was Monday, and that meant back to class, and more homework.
