Two things, Legacy pets are merely pets that you've created that stay with you and only you. For example, I created frick and frack, but they briefly went to a friend's account so I could get the 1 pet achievement (which annoyingly came out AFTER i had many pets). Chiana is my only actual "legacy" pet. You may also get more hits if you're a little more specific about what you think is old and what sort of ID range you're looking for. Good lucking finding a pet! (You can also sometimes find old pets in the pound, though sometimes they're ill-named)
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
more specifically, "legacy" pets are pets that were created before 2010 and have not moved accounts since then, as the 'adopted on' information wasn't recorded until after some point in 2010. therefore those pets have no 'adopted on' date, and so their adoption date is listed the same as their creation date. however, if the pet is adopted by another user, they WILL get an adoption date and will no longer be labeled as "legacy."
