that one item could fill a pet up that much seems a surprise to me too. It was my own observation that you get 1 point plus or minus ten percent per food item. Did you feed your pet five of the same item, maybe a weird one that gives you a value of two?

Hunger has always been somewhat glitchy. Maybe report it in Problems & Bugs?

I don't think there is a way to know what foods will do it (unless someone researches and compiles a list? or staff just tells us), just that it is a thing that will happen, and isn't a bug. I asked about it a while back: http://subeta.net/forums.php/gotopost/56724164
