Was just informed that there will never be another Reading Drive - where do I find the posted notice, please. Actually, new info:

Just want to confirm what kbbob said. We won't have another Reading Drive in the format that they've been in the past years, aka you hoard up a lot of books and donate them the minute the drive opens and bam done. If we do another drive (books or something else), we want you to really participate the full duration of it rather than be done in five minutes. With the snowman example used on this thread, we added shops midway that you could restock/donate from (and you could do multiples of items rather than just the one per book like the Reading Drive). We're constantly looking for new things to try out

I don't think there is any hope for a Reading Drive like the previous ones have been. However, item drives in general may still happen, although the shops could be random and have a wider variety of items to donate.

Personally I'm not really a fan of item drives, and I don't understand why the staff keep doing them. Especially when item drives pretty much reward hoarding, which they have said they want to be discouraging in the future. But that's just my opinion.

[edit]I found the original news post announcing the Reading Drive items being added to the Antique Shop. In the comments, some of the staff members mention how they won't be doing another Reading Drive again in the traditional since of how it was done before.

Well, I have loved the Reading Drive and would love to see another one.
