So I wasn't going to make a post about this... but I've been stalking the name Explorer for months now, and dead on 3pm (3am in Australia! I need sleep) I snagged it as a name change. Now just waiting on the steamwork Neela schematics to be made up (courtesy of the free shop giveaway a while back), then off to the coda caves to finally get my Galactic Neela whose profile will be inspired by the Muse song Explorers. I'm so stoked!

I just wish he wasn't such an ugly experiment in the meantime, but no matter. Anybody else get a name after months or even years of waiting?

Wow congrats, that's a great name! :D I strangely really like that experiment pet coupled with that name haha. But Neelas are so very pretty.

I just got back from years of inactivity, and so another user snagged one of my pet names while I was gone. I'm still trying to think of another name for him, but everything I like is taken. We'll see what happens! (:

I got the name Townshend in 2014 after wanting it since 2011! I was so thrilled!!

I was looking at that experiment trying to see if I could work with it while I still had the old name (Saeta) but I just couldn't bring myself to like it. For the 3 days the steamworks change was happening I refused to look at my pets because it was at the top, staring at me :p. Sorry about losing your pet name, I know finding decent names can be hard. All of the cool names I can think of are taken, even obscure ones. I'm glad none of my pet's names were desirable when I went inactive a few years ago.

3 years puts my few months into perspective! I'm not sure if they had the "this account will be eligible for clearing on x date" messages in 2014 but if they did I bet that was both exciting and super stressful when it finally popped up. A name I wanted about a month ago cleared a day before the listed date and someone snagged it, so I was so paranoid - checking hourly for 48 hours before the scheduled clear time.
