Three more officers dead now in Baton Rouge. ENOUGH! Policemen, you do not owe the ungrateful people your lives. BLUE LIVES MATTER! I personally think that ALL policemen all over the country should just close up shop for a week. Let people get a taste of what lives would be like without them.

Both sides are wrong. Too many people are losing their loves over lack of control on both sides, and it's not fair to them and their loved ones. Something needs to be done to prevent police from using excessive force. Something needs to be done to strengthen gun control.

Between this and related incidents, the France terrorist attack, and the Pulse attack, I'm just done. Can a genie make world peace a thing? T-T

People have the right to be angry against policemen. Do not get me wrong, I don't support these actions but excessive police force has been going around FOR YEARS. During a really big event in my city where we were fighting for the right to get free education (along other things), I was pushed away by a very rude policemen when I tried to help an elderly woman that had fallen because of people panicking. He refused to give me his police ID number (which is a law) and told me to go fuck myself before he decided to arrest me. I then started to recite my rights and the LAWS and he was silenced. He told me to go away a second time, which I did. I do not like violence and if people are armed and menacing, then yes, proceed in the right way. But killing an unarmed person or harming people just because of your autority is not okay.

On the other side ... for god's sake, policemen are not properly protected nor are they properly formed to work with certain crisis and people. Things like racism, hate speech, hate of religion and such are what triggers fire. I can't even see how we can change things in such an hateful world.

I'd argue and agree with the argument that it's an issue on both sides. The recent issues with police brutality that have occurred in the media shouldn't have happened in the first place. At the same time, people shouldn't be retaliating by targeting policemen as a means of getting revenge or setting some sort of example because the vast majority of cops are good people.

The police system in general needs to be re-hauled. Police are often taught to use force first, rather than negotiate a situation and deal with the situation through non-violent means first. There needs to be more training in using non-violent means and other means as well besides using excessive force or being trained to shoot first which a lot of people in many police forces are trained to do.

All lives matter, except for those crazy motherfuckers who shoot or kill otherwise just because they want to. Whatever happened to talking about our problems? Isn't that what we learn in preschool?! TO USE OUR WORDS?! It makes me inexpressably sad when I hear about killings like this. I just...I don't understand it. I just want everyone to be happy and get along. I don't understand why people can't just agree to disagree and let each other alone.

I think many departments are going a long way to try and rethink the way they deal with the public.

When we have such a racist and brutal police force I have trouble trusting any people in blue. I shouldn't fear for my life or the lives of people around me when I see a police officer. While I obviously don't think people should be killing cops, I also don't think cops should be allowed to murder people of other ethnicities for the sake of killing because they're bored and think that people of color are worth less than they are. Complaining that people are lashing out against the racist and brutal police force because of how racist and brutal they are is like complaining that water is wet.

Cops are humans so you're gunna run into bad cops, but cops in cities are just mean.
