I can't find -where- I read this, or if I completely imagined it, but after a lengthy search I can't seem to find it. If I use the "Give to a Friend" feature to send over a new pet I just received to someone in order to have them turned into a Bumbus, will they be able to immediately return them to me? I remember reading about a "Cooldown" period between pet trades/adoptions and when you're able to send them back, but now i'm starting to think I imagined it.

I'm pretty sure there's a 30 day wait period between trading pets to people. If someone trades you a pet, that pet can't be traded to someone else until the 30 days have passed and then once traded, the pet can't be traded back from the other person for another 30 days.

Unless they changed that very recently, but I don't think they have.

Ah okay that was the one I was talking about! So the only other option would be Adopt R Us, but I really don't want to take the chance on losing them in there. Thank you.

Yeah, using the pound to swap the pet would be the riskier but faster option; and pounding a Bumbus turns it into a Kumos with the color the Bumbus was abandoned with too so the poundswapping would only be useful for the first half of it.

is using an unfortunate word here. Trading pets is not allowed, it is against the Rules! Nobody can trade you a pet and you should not be trading pets.

Transferring a pet is allowed. There is a 30 day wait until you can tranfer a pet again, and there is also a 30 day wait after a transfer until this pet can fight in the Battle Coliseum. If a pet has high stats (more than 2000?, not sure) the pet will lose 10% of its stats each time it is transferred.

The time delay is probably not mentioned in the Rules, but it is mentioned in the Frequently Asked Questions & Answers in this forum. The stat loss is in one of the stickied threads for Battle, although I'm no longer sure where.

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about the Kumos thing. I'd have been heartbroken, haha.

Oh yeah I know about the no pet trading, no worries. I must have completely missed the time limit in the FAQ because I even searched to no avail. It'd be nice if they could put all of that information in one space. I didn't know about the pet stats thing at all!

It's a habit lol too many other pet sites use "trade" in place of "transfer" P: I'll make a mental note to try and remember the different wording for the future though!

Not to mention it would make the process take even longer than before since you'd have to do the poundswap again or wait the 60 days to turn your pet into a Bumbus and get it back to you. It'd be a definite pain to deal with. xD
